8 - rainy dinner

Dana's POV

I just got a text from Jaden saying he's already home and that I could already come over if i want.

I paused the 2nd movie I was watching today and walked up the stairs to my room and sprayed some parfum. I don't think I need a jacket since the weather is so nice today.

I went back downstairs put on my Nike Dunks and got my keys. I quickly kissed my cat goodbye and left the house.
While walking over to Jadens house I called my mom.

Hi mom!
Hi sweety what's up?
Uhm I just wanted to say that I'm having dinner at my friends house is that okay?
Yes of course I was about the be later because it's really busy at work today. Have fun baby! I'll see you tonight.
Thanks mom love you!
Ok bye love you

I walked around the corner and walked right into Jadens neighborhood. I walked over to their driveway when I saw Daelo playing outside.

' Hi Dana ' he said and ran to me.
' Hi Daelo how are you what were you doing ? '
' I was just playing basketball but now that your here I'm going back inside with you. ' he said and opened the front door.

I took my shoes off and walked into the living room.

' Hi you must be Dana , I'm Jessica ! ' a woman said to me and shook my hand.

' Hi Jessica nice to meet you I absolutely love your house ' I said. ' Thanks but you can call me Jess from now on. '
I heard someone coming down the stairs.

' You're here already' Javon said.
' Jaden is in the shower but I can show you around if you want ? '
' Yes of course let's do it' I said and walked up the stairs with him.

' Ok so here's my room but you've already seen that. And then right here we have Jadens room. He always has these purple light on so get used to that. ' He said and I laughed.

'And then across Jadens room there's Jayla room. ' And behind that door is Daelo's. ' He pointed at the door.

' WANNA !! ' I heard a girl scream. ' Come into my room I wanna meet her '

We walked over into his sisters room. She has such a big room I am jealous.
' Hi Jayla I absolutely love your room it's so big! ' I said looking around.
' Aw thank you you must be Dana. You're so pretty! '

' Thank you ' I said while starting to blush.
I literally can't take a compliment, I always start blushing it doesn't matter from who.

Time skip...

We were just in Javons room scrolling through tiktok because Jaden was still in the shower.
I noticed his shoes collection in his room.

' Damn you have more then me I am jealous bro ' I said and walked over to the shoes.
' I grabbed a pair of Nike Dunks and looked at them, i've been wanting these since forever. ' They're just so expensive'

' Well you can try them on if you want ' He said. ' And if they fit you you can borrow them '

I got excited and tried them on.

Jadens POV

I got out of the shower and got dressed in some joggers and a t-shirt. When I heard Dana's voice in Javon's room.

I sounded like they were having fun together so I decided to stay in my room and wait for them to come over to me.
I'm always very insecure when it comes to girls, even when we're just friends. My brother is not like that he always knows what to say and how to not make it awkward.

I sat down on my game chair and just played some baseball game on my computer.

I was about to win my 5th game when someone took off my headset. I turned around and saw Dana standing behind me with my headset in her hands.

' What you're doing pretty boy she said and handed me the headset. '
' Oh im just playing this game idk '

' Well i've been here for an hour waiting for you to get out off the shower but you're just out here playing some baseball game ' she said and sat down on my bed.

' Yeah im sorry I heard you and Javon in his room so I was just thinking maybe I'll wait for you to get here. ' I paused my game and turned around while still sitting on my chair.

' Im here for you remember because you invited me and Javon is going to box for some hours so I thought i will just check up on you. '
She smiled and put her hair behind her ear.

Dana's POV

' So go ahead and continue your game. I wanna see you lose ' I said and sat down next to him.

He smirked and restarted his game.

After watching Jaden play for almost 2 hours he turned his computer off and turned to me.
' So how did I do ' He said and rested his head on his hand.

' Mhm idk I could do better ' I said joking around.

' Yeah im sure you can ' 'Should we go downstairs ? He said.
' Yeah sure ' We walked down the stairs and the smell off the pasta already made me hungry.

' Damn that smells good ' I said

' Great I hope you like it ' Jessica said and smiled at me. I sat down on the couch next to Daelo and Jayla. When a man came into the room with Javon.

' You must be the girl Daelo wouldn't stop talking about ' He said.
' Yes this is Dana! ' Daelo said excited.
I laughed. ' Nice to meet you mr. Walton' I said.

' The same for you, you can call me DJ '

' Mom can we please go eat in the backyard? ' Daelo screamed. ' I wanna sit outside because it's so warm. He said.

' Yes sweety of course go ahead dinner is almost ready. '

We all sat outside when Jessica came with the food.
' I hope y'all like it '
' I'm sure we will ' I said and smiled at her.

1 hour later ...

'Am I the only one that feels little drops of rain on my head? ' Javon said putting is hand up in the air trying to feel more.

' The rain shouldn't start until 9pm ' DJ said.

Then out of nowhere the rain came bursting down. Daelo screamed and ran inside the house as fast as he could. At this point everyone was inside except for me and Jessica.

We grabbed all the plates and glasses from the table in the backyard and started running to the door.

Jaden closed the door immediately when we came in. ' Damn I didn't expect that ' He said and looked at me.
' Dana look at yourself your soaking wet! You look like a soaked kitten rn ' He pointed at my hair and started laughing.

' Aw poor girl, thank you for helping me clean up ' Jessica said.
' Dana I don't think you could get home tonight ' Jayla said and handed me her phone.

It was a news post. It was gonna storm all night and they advised not to go outside until tomorrow morning because it could be dangerous.
' Oh no ' I said and looked up at Jayla.' I don't have anything with me '

' Don't worry ' she said. ' We have enough clothes in this house for you to wear and I'm pretty sure we have an extra toothbrush. '

' Ok Jaden show the poor girl where the towels are and give her some clothes because she's gonna have to shower or else she would get a cold. ' DJ said.
' Alright ' he said and walked up the stairs with me.

Jadens POV

' Ok so you can shower in my bathroom, here's a towel and some of my clothes... '

I gave her everything she needed and sat on my game chair. I'm just gonna game until she's done...
