Chapter 1 : Saved

"old man, how is he doing..?" Jotaro said, walking out of the room after having his wounds checked over, cleaned and patched.

"His wound is fatal, but there still is a chance for him to survive. we have brought him just in time, he already lost a big amount of blood, not to mention his organs being destroyed" Joseph looked at the black haired teen, noticing he turned his back and started walking away.

"Jotar-" Joseph was going to reach out for his grandson, before Polenareff held his shoulder, caughting his attention and slightly shook his head. Joseph sighed and nodded in response of the silver haired. He sat down with Polenareff and waited for any news from the doctors inside the emergencies room.

Jotaro walked out of the hospital to get some fresh air. He may not say it, but he was so worried, so afraid, they already lost Avdol and Iggy for good, and now there's a huge chance that Kakyoin wouldn't walk out of that emergencies room alive. it was so overwhelming, this feeling was too much to take for anyone, and even for him. He pulled out a ciggaret and placed it between his lips after litting it up.

The cold night wind blew by his face, knocking his hat off, only to reveal his watery eyes and shaky lips that were barely holding into the ciggaret. "You'd better stay alive, Kakyoin." with those lines he breathed out, a tear rolled down his cheek. His stern look finally broke, revealing his pain.

Jotaro had got back inside after gaining control over himself again, joining Joseph and Polenareff in the waiting room, and since it was already late at night they fell asleep on their seats while they were waiting for any news about their friend that is opperating.

One of the doctors finally knocked on the door before inviting himself inside, Jotaro was in a light sleep not really being able to relax, so he was the first to wake up and walk up to the doctor, already anxious about the news.

"You're the ones with Kakyoin Noriaki right?" the doctor eyed the room before looking up at Jotaro. "Yes, how is he". The doctor took a deep breath, taking his glasses off and placing them in his pockets."He's alive, the operation did succeed, if you brought him few minutes late he wouldn't be breathing now. But there's also something I must tell you. He's in a coma, we don't know how long it'll take for him to wake up, and if he did wake up there's a very high chance that he'll go throught a memory loss, which means he may not recognize you, or know what led him to the hospital in the first place. so I'll leave it for you to decide what you'll be doing, he can't be leaving this hospital until he wakes up."

These news left Jotaro stunned, he sat down after the doctor left the room, a look of shock on his face removing any coldness from his usual calm self. Joseph woke up seeing the teen sitting with that expression remaining on his face, he was confused before thinking about the chances about bad news being received from the doctors.

"Jotaro! did the doctors came back with any news about Kakyoin??" The old man stood up and walked to him. Jotaro swallowed hard before looking back at his grandfather, slowly nodding.

"He's alive.." he breathed. Joseph's expressions lit up as he started cheering and waking up Polenareff "Wake up Polenareff!! Kakyoin is alive!!"

"What the hell Mr. Joestar! the hell you're waking me up like this for!!" He groaned before shooting his eyes open to see the silly smile on Joseph's face, but with his amount of braincells he couldn't guess what was up. "Didn't you hear me? Kakyoin is alive!!" With that the silver haired male jumped from his place "He is???"

Jotaro cursed himself internally seeing the other two males cheer up, how could he tell them? he watched silently then finally snapped from his thoughts.

"Old man!!!" his voice was enough to gain both of their attention. Polenarff looked at him worriedly from his expression. "What's wrong Jotaro? i thought you'd be happy" Joseph took a step forward placing his hand on Jotaro's shoulder "That's right, what's wrong Jotaro?"

The teen stared into both of the men in front of him before finally speaking. "Kakyoin is alive...but he's in a coma, they aren't sure about when he'll wake up, and he can't leave this hospital till then, there's also a high chance he'll go through a memory loss.. Kakyoin may not remember us or what happened in these 50 days"

An uncomfortable silence fell on the room, both Joseph and Polenareff shocked from the what they heard just now from Jotaro. Joseph's grip on Jotaro's shoulder was removed, now falling to his side as he sat himself on the chair. "I see.." Polenarff's eyes narrowed as he exited the room, leaving both of them on their own as he try to proccess what he just heard.

"What should we do now." The tall teen questioned, they couldn't possibly stay in Egypt for god knows how long, yet someone should be watching over him.

"I can contact the speedwagon Foundation so that they'll take good care of him, let's just hope it won't take too long for him to wake up, anything else can be dealt with once he wakes up. I'll go dial them, we should get going soon. The sun is already about to rise, we should take Dio's body to get it done once and for all then we'll be heading back to Japan."

With that being said, Joseph walked out of the room to call the SWF and inform Polenareff about their plan.

The members remaining from the crusaders that started the journey finally fulfilled their duty, getting rid from their worst enemy, saving Miss Holly and now finally going home. Polenareff splitted from them, exchanging genuine words before taking leave to his home country, while the two Joestars boarded the plan back to Japan.

'I didn't even get the chance to see his face once more before leaving...Yare yare.'
