Chapter 1

*time skip at the defeat of the hands of time*

Kai's POV

Me and mom and dad did some catching up since the defeat of the hands of time."... and then Lloyd kicked the Overlords butt. But unfortunately he came back as a computer Virus, but even then Zane still defeat him (bruh now he prolly coming back as the crystal king)." "Haha. That's great son." My father says proudly "Yeah. We are proud of what you became. You are just like Ray. Fighting really lies in our family. Speaking of which. Where is my little darling, Nya. I haven't seen her in a long time." My mom asks. Not knowing where Nya is start crying.

"She- she" I sniff "She's gone." "What do you mean gone?" "I Don't know where she is. She went missing three years ago. I couldn't stop it." I break out in tears and my parents hug me also sobbing.

Harumi's POV

I am in my room. Laying on my bed. Bored. 'Maybe...no. Or...perhaps I should...ughh noo' I think to myself before Hutchins knocks at my door. "Your majesty, your parents are expecting you. You're having guests." "Guests??" I groan not knowing that it was my best friend Vania and her father Vangelis.

I love it when Vania comes over because she always stays for a couple of days and we always sing and dance together. She comes almost every two weeks because our parents have some boring business to do.

I walk up to them calmly hiding all my excitement to see Vania again, since the threat of the hands of time is over. I bow to her and her father, king Vangelis, before Vania and I run off to my room to tell each other the actual new of Ninjago and Shintaro.

"...and then I go to my room to find a little purple creature in my room. But when I told my dad, he said I was imagining things. Can you believe that ?" Vania scoffs. "Well I believe you. Except for ninjago getting destroyed again and rebuilt, not much has been going on here. In fact, eben if it had, I wouldn't know 'Cause I'm stuck in this... this ...ughh palace and Hutchins following me around like my shadow." I say rolling my eyes annoyed.
"Hailmaar is not any better" Vania says and we both laugh

We continue to chat until we have nothing more to say. That's when a long lost though of mine comes back.
"Don't you want to like... never mind" I trail off.
"No, no continue, please"
"I've been thinking. Don't you want to like... experience the real life out there. I mean like those ninja I always hear about. Fight bad guys and stuff. Don't tell me you never wanted that"

"I thought you'd never ask. In fact I've secretly taking self defense lessons." She whispers giggling. Then she goes on "maybe I can teach you something. It's really fun." I smile.

In the next weeks Vania and I kept training together and we got really good in it.

*someday after training*

"Isn't it strange?" Vania asks confusing me. "isn't what strange."
" Our parents. How are they even allow us to meet this often. Normally they are very strict and attentive, but right now they're...not. it's like they don't care anymore."
"You're right. Mmph I mean it's a good thing If you ask me. I wouldn't overthink it. Perhaps they're just very busy." I shrug. "If you say so... okay" Vania says insecure but shrugs it off.

" phew. Today was an exhausting day. I hate the art of the uhh what was it now?" I groan. "The art of the silent fist. What kind of name is that?" Vania scoffs. Then she jumps up excitedly "Hey! What if we..." She takes a second and then whispers "snuck out?" She snickers. My eyes glow if her idea "OH. MY. FIRSTSPINJITZUMASTER. YASS. But where do we go?" I ask excitedly.
"Uhh idk. You live here, not me"
"Mhh I mean I have heard of this new restaurant. Uhh I think the name was 'chen's mister noodles' or 'chen's noodlehouse or smt like dat. Anyway the people on chirp say the food there is 'bussin'" I laugh

"Well, so when do we go?" Vania asks excitedly. "How about tonight?" I ask smirking.

*at night*

"Come on" I whisper to Vania while climbing out my window quietly. She follow me.
"This is so cool. I can't believe it" Vania whisper-screams as we are hoping over the palace of secrets. But then she quickly ducks. I just copy what she does without even knowing why. "W- why are you du-" I start but she shushs me and put her hand on my mouth.
"Guards."

At this point I feel very stupid for forgetting the guards. I mean I live here how could I have forgotten that.
We wait till the guards aren't looking and quickly run over the builings, making some bricks fall.

"Okay. We made it out the palace without getting spotted. Wow, the city looks so... different. So fascinating." I sigh under my breath, looking around.

"Ikr. The people look mean though. O suggest we put on our hoods. Do you know in which direction we're going ?"

"Yeah, it's here, on my phone. But how are we gonna get there?"

"How abt we take these babies." Vania suggested pointing at the boats on the river *idk if it was a lake or river*

As Vania and I take turns rowing, i keep feeling bad for sneaking out. So I sang the spider loolaby for comfort. Mister Chen's Noodlehouse wasn't all to far away, so after not so long we could already smell delicious noodles and puffy potstickers.

When we arrived at mister chen's noodlehouse, we first searched for a seat and then Vania and I were greeted by a young woman with cherry red hair and hazel eyes. She looked about our age.

"Welcome to Mister Chen's Noodlehouse. How can I help you?"
"Oh, uhh uhmmmm... we don't know yet. There're so many options. Ma'am can you please tell us something about some of the meals?" I ask politely

While she's talking Vania, out of really nowhere, asks :"What's your name. "Skylor" She smiles not being annoyed by the fact that she just got interrupted. Honestly, I would be irritated. "I've never had a friend except for Haru-" I look at Vania signaling her to not say My name "HAruuLey. Hehe"
"Harley, my name is Harley. Yeah that's my name." I say awkwardly with a crooked smile on my face. Skylor first raises an eyebrows but then shrugs it of and just asks Vania name was. We had to think fast so I just say "VIKI"
I see Vania looking at me in shock from the of my eye.

*they give their orders and Skylor goes away*

"Viki? Seriously? You couldn't think of a better name (no offense to all the Vikis out there) like Valerie or Violett or- or idk Vivian?! UGH do I even look like a Viki ?" Vania complains but stops when our orders come.

"Here are you orders. Enjoy your meal"

"Thanks. Hey skylor why don't sit down and chat with us?" I ask friendly

"Uhh i guess, 'Cause they are no costumers at this time."

We chatted so long, I almost forgot to go back home. Skylor exchanges numbers with Vania and me and then make our way back home. But as we arrive at the palace all lights are on. "Why are all the light on" I ask confused
"The right question to ask is why aren't you two sleeping?" A deep voice scares us from behind.
"H- Hutchins I- we- we were going for a walk" I try to lie us out the situation
"Save it for the emperor" He just says with an emotionless look on his face. Like always "You can explaines that to them tomorrow."

hey trained in Harumi's room because in this story it's bigger than in the series

So Vania slept at Harumi's place bc shintaro is kinda far away and everytime she goes, she stay for like two day and also the other ways around.
