Hey, Ik I already added a TW in the last chapter but just in case you didn't see:
There's going to be a lot happening in this chapter so if abuse is a distressing topic I wouldn't recommend reading further. I'm going to vent so things will most likely get pretty bad, thx for reading this far <3
Luna's POV
Why is he here. Does this mean I'm going back?
****
"Angel," I said his name louder, pushing my nails harder into his skin. Tears gathered at my eyelashes but refused to fall from my eyes. My throat burned. Was this the surprise?
"Get the fuck out of my house." He knew. His accent made his voice sound intimidating; his request sounded more like a threat.
"Not until you hand her over." I pushed my knuckles against my mouth, trying to contain a desperate scream that burned inside my throat.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" Angel is trying too hard. Things aren't going to end well for any of us.
"My name is Martin porter. You will call me sir." He extended his hand towards Angel for him to shake. I backed up.
"Over my dead body." Angel looked at his hand in disgust.
"Give me my kid." I wasn't his fucking kid. I wasn't anyone's fucking kid.
"I'm going to give you one more chance to get off of my property." It's no use. Martin stepped forward.
"Get the FUCK OUT!" He was yelling now. There was no point though, nothing Angel said would make him leave.
"Do you often make promises you can't keep?" Promises?
He promised to give me back.
"I'll go with him." I just wanted the yelling to stop. I stepped forward, letting go of Angel.
"Fuck no." He let me walk towards my uncle.
"Shove off asshole." Leave it. Martin can talk to me however he wants but he better leave Angel alone. I made it my responsibility to make sure he left Angel out of this, no matter what it meant he would do to me. I'll just try not to make it get too bad. Not here.
"Martin." I said his name, something that I knew would make him focus on me.
"Excuse me?" Oh I fucked up.
"Leave it." I could feel Angel watching us cautiously. Martin didn't say anything for a moment; I had never commanded him like that before.
He grabbed my bare arm and pulled me towards him. I didn't resist.
"Say that again." His breath smelled of hard alcohol as he brought his face close to mine.
"Leave him alone." I hated how much my voice shook. I hated how easily anyone could see that I was afraid. I hated him.
Martin lifted his hand, trying to show me how defenceless I was. I blocked my face with my free hand and tried to step back. I could feel hot currents of blood rush under my skin as his grip fastened on my arm. He laughed as I cowered before him. He liked that I was scared of him.
"Let me go." Not here.
"Apologize." He commanded, still holding onto my arm.
"I would rather die." I was pushing my luck, but if it meant he would leave Angelo alone it was the least I could do.
"Don't make this harder than it has to be." He warned, pulling me towards the door. I stayed silent but resisted as he tried to pull me away. "You owe me." I don't know why that affected me so much. My fists closed and my breath went shallow. I twisted out of his grasp, creating a safe distance between us.
