Ty's. P.O.V.

It's been a couple of days now since the twins came to the city. With all the shit going on we haven't been out like that in quite some time. Like I know it's not safe to be out right now with Lilith out who knows where but for fuck sake its almost Christmas. I wanted to see some lights. See the big ass tree in midtown. "Yo babe! Are you good?" Blake snapped me out of my thoughts.

I turned around to see Blake standing in the doorway as I sat on the stoop. "Yeah I'm good my love. Just looking at the snow fall...while trying to ignore the gross snow on the street." I couldn't help but laugh at my own stupid comment. Derrick appeared from behind Blake laughing along. "Well it is the city. The snow is gross on the street. Unlike back home." Derrick told us as he extended his hand out to help me up.

"Ty. I know when something is bugging you. What's really going through your mind...is it about...mom." I realized Derrick was a bit hesitant to say mom. Whatever I didn't address it but instead I replied with half the truth. "Honestly it's almost Christmas and I wanted to do some festive stuff." I wasn't lying but it also wasn't all the truth. "Awe I'm sorry babe how about Christmas eve after dinner we go out to see the lights and the famous city center tree." Blake told me as I jumped up and hugged both of them.

I felt both of them hold me but Derrick's grip was a bit tighter. "Let's get back inside and drink some hot cocoa." Blake pulled back and gave me a small kiss on the lips. "Can we also make some cookies?" I begged a bit since Derrick can make some delicious cookies. "Of course, we'll decorate them together." Derrick told me as he patted my head looking down at me. It felt amazing to be like this. As if nothing is wrong and we are living a normal life again.

Derrick led the way to the kitchen and I sat on the counter watching Blake create the hot cocoa while Derrick was prepping the batter. The room was beginning to fill with such a sweet smell that it felt we were in some cheesy Hallmark movie. While lost in thought Derrick slid his way in between my thighs and kissed my neck. "Our first Christmas together." Derrick said into my neck not looking at me. I couldn't help but blush at his sudden movement and words.

"It feels so natural." I said under my breath, afraid to voice my feelings out loud. I don't know why I get so embarrassed sometimes with them. The day continued with us doing small holiday activities. We made our cookies and drank our hot cocoa. Blake can't decorate for shit and made his cookie look like an accident with the amount of icing caked on it. Derrick on the other hand was doing it with such ease. Once the kitchen was cleaned up; we headed to the living room and put on some Christmas movies.

As the movie went on we just cuddled up on the couch. Zero care for the world. Towards the end of our second movie both the twins ended up falling asleep on me. I turned to look at both of them slumped on the couch. Perfect now I can use the bathroom and grab another cookie from the kitchen. Once I was done in the washroom I walked into the kitchen to grab some cookies.

To my surprise I saw my mom and the bodyguard there eating some cookies too. "Oh bendicion mom." I said as I walked in. "Mijo we need to talk. Is that okay?" I looked back and forth between them and nodded my head. "I don't...I'm...truly." My mother stammered before the woman stepped in. "What your mother is trying to say is that with how dangerous it is out there and if there is a chance we can't come in quick to help we have something." The woman said as she put a small silver box on the table. I looked towards my mom confused about what she was talking about and all she did was nod and nod towards the box.

I grabbed the small silver box towards me. They both stared at me waiting for me to open the box. I slowly lifted the cold lid to see what was kept inside. My blood ran cold once the object came into view. "Gun." Is all I said to no one particular. "Mom. This isn't something you give to your son." Is all I said in a hush tone as the light bounces off of the silver barrel of the pistol. "I know but what happened in the subway and the weird car that has been lurking around. I need to make sure you have something." My mom quickly explained.
