Seperation

On the first day, Dream realized he could make it without George. Warren had been keeping him company, and honestly, Warren wasn't all that bad. Dream needed a new friend and that's exactly what Warren offered.

On the third day, Dream woke up with three missed calls from George and no motivation to call back. The previous day, he had gone skating with Warren and his energy was gone. Warren was cute.

On the seventh day, George realized Dream had become distant and that one of his biggest fears was becoming a reality. The loss of his best friend would break him. Dream was all he had.

The fifteenth day marked a turning point. Dream called George drunk and crying. Complaining about some random guy called 'Warren' standing him up. Just minutes later, however, Dream's crying turned to nothing but admiration towards Warren. It made George's blood boil.

They were currently 30 days in. Dream and George had called maybe twice since George left and Warren knew more about Dream than George did.

Dream adored George's fiery personality and his sass gave Dream a challenge that he loved.

Warren was safe. There were no risks with Warren. Dream knew his family would love Warren, he knew Warren wouldn't be fucking other men and frankly, Dream liked Warren. So much so that they had kissed... sober.

Meanwhile, George was 500 miles away with a throbbing pain in his chest because he figures Dream got sick of waiting and was ghosting him. In reality, Dream was playing it safe.

"You like George?" Warren asked as the two were cuddled up together on the couch, something they did frequently and something George and Dream had only done once.

"I did. I'm... getting over it more and more the longer he's gone. Why?"

"I don't know. I thought it would be nice if we... dated or something." Warren mumbled. Dream placed his hand under Warren's chin and pulled his face to his own.

"I wouldn't be totally against it," Dream smiled. Warren's cheeks flushed red.

"Really? Boyfriend's, then?" Warren asked.

Dream had to admit it was a little early, but if he had learnt anything from George, impulsiveness was good and it made life interesting.

"Boyfriends," Dream agreed.

On the 46th day, George and Dream hadn't contacted one another for almost ten days. Dream had grown on out of his crush phase with George and was now seeing Warren, who, exclusively prohibited Dream from speaking with George even over text.

On the 60th day, Dream and Warren had sex and celebrated a full month together. There wasn't even a slight though of George in Dream's head by now.

On the 88th day, George met a guy online. A guy he had gone to high-school with and was, surprisingly, very gay. Dream and George were moving fast with their new relationships, confident all would go well.

They were now on day 100. Dream had been seeing Warren for over two months and George had been loosely chatting with Mike for just under two weeks.

"I can't believe you." Warren mumbled.

"You can't believe me? Really? I'm not allowed to worry about my friend?! I haven't talked to him for two months because of you!" Dream snapped. He had mentioned he missed George and Warren was not taking it well.

"Because you liked him, Clay! I don't want you around him."

"Warren you can't control my life. I'm an adult man." Dream calmed down a bit, not wanting to turn the argument into a yelling contest.

"I can't trust you." Warren stated coldly.

Dream was silent for a good five minutes, taking all the time he needed to process what Warren had said.

"Out." He mumbled.

"What?"

"Out. Until you learn to act your age." Drean opened the door for Warren and watched as he left.

On the 101st day, Dream cracked. He texted George. Nothing more than a simple 'hey' but that's all they needed.

On day 120, George answered. He gushed about his new boyfriend and hearing that made Dreams heart shatter. He supposed he wasn't over George, afterall.

On day 125, Dream and Warren made up fully. They'd been texting previously, but they'd ended their break now. And of course, the first time seeing eachother in person for 25 days, they had sex once again. And Dream went back to ignoring George.

On day 150, Dream and Warren celebrated four months together. Their celebration method was alcohol, which ended with a drunken Dream confessing to his boyfriend that he still loved George. On day 150, they broke up.

They were now on day 179 and Warren had come crawling back, talons intended on sticking this time.

"I miss you, baby." Warren whined, grabbing into Dream's shoulders. "I didn't mean any of what I said."

Their relationship was extremely toxic. Yet, something had Dream yearning for more.

"I miss you so much," Dream replied. "I should have never even been thinking about George," He mumbled. Because at this time, Dream still thought he could choose who he loved. Being a man in his early 20's, you'd think he would have learned.

"I forgive you. Do you forgive me?"

"Yes," Dream replied with no hesitation. But, deep down, he knew he didn't.

On day 180, George returned.
On day 180, Dream and Warren had sex.

On day 180, George met Mike, and confessed his love for him.

On day 180, George and Dream had forgotten.

[A/n: You didn't think this would be all rainbows and sunshine did you? Aw, you did? You poor, poor soul. ;) ]
