I gasped when I finally saw her, just when she bumped the table face-first. I heard her groaned and that made me move flash to her worriedly.
"Ano bang ginagawa mo rito, Gil?" I gently asked and hold her head.
"Josh. . . Ikaw ba 'yan? Or am I jush imagining?" She squinted at me with a creased in her forehead.
"Cheesus, you barely holding on now, Gil. Bakit ka naglasing and you said this is your first time getting drunk?" I moved closely to see her face, only to be front slapped in my face. She used her freaking palm.
"Aww ha! Ang sakit no'n. Ang bigat naman ng kamay mo." Napailing-iling na lang ako bago siya hinawakan sa magkabilaang balikat at iniangat.
I took a glance behind my back to find Nico using his vape.
"Nico, ikaw na bahala sa motor ko," paalam ko sa kasama ko bago inihagis ang susi. "Ingatan mo ha. And I'll call you whenever I need help, so stop drinking for now."
"'Ge, una na ako. Ingat kayong dalawa," kamot sa ulo niyang sagot bago tumalikod at sumakay na.
I sighed when I saw his retreating back.
Now, I don't know what to do with this girl.
"Tubig nga. . ." malinaw niyang utos. She gestured her hands that I couldn't understand.
"Wait here." I patted her head before going up to ask some water.
She chugged it like a drunk man.
Gillian, what a menace you are to me.
I heard her moaned before blinking her doe eyes. "Okay. I think I'm sober enough," she sighed exasperatedly.
"Okay ka na? Pwede na tayong umuwi?" I asked her before picking her hair to put it in the back.
I gave her my handkerchief because of it. Nakangiwing tinanggap naman niya 'yon.
"Hindi ako lasing ha," she claimed, but I only grinned at her.
"Okay. Walang bago, ayan naman laging linyahan ng mga lasing," I mused.
"No, I'm seriously not. I was just tipsy," she swallowed and put her hair behind her ears before wiping her sweats.
It's my turn to gulped.
"It's my first time, yes. Pero alam ko kung lasing ba ako o hindi 'no." But then she suddenly burped that made her frown.
And I burst out laughing at her.
"Halika na nga," aya niya bago tumayo dala ang bote ng tubig.
"Punta tayong beach," she said before pouting, looking at her shoulder, at me.
"What? Umuulan, Gil. Maybe next time. . ." I said and drape my arms over hers to draw her close to me.
I move my hands up and down to her shoulder to help her relax and think straightly.
"Pwede namang ako na lang, you can go home," she insisted. I just closed my eyes and sighed.
Who am I to say no? I am merely her company.
Gillian, you're such a stubborn girl.
"Fine, we will go. But first, we need an umbrella, okay?" She looked up to me when I said those. She nodded twice and hugged my waist.
Halatang inaantok na. I wiped off the smile on my face when she looked up again.
"Let's go."
