"We need beers, kahit some lang," she suggested that earned her a smug grin from me.

And she said she's not drunk.

"Okay ka na ba talaga?" I asked her, hiding my amusement.

"Yeah, why you ask?" She scratched her head.

"You're speaking conyo, Gil." I cracked up at her. She responded with an eye roll combined with a hidden pinch to the side of my waist.

"Ikaw na magbayad sa counter," she commanded.

"Okay, wait here." She just nodded with her already hooded eyes. She's looking sleepy.

When I was done, I saw her looking outside with a blank expression on her face. She is always like this, and I always wonder what's going on in her mind every time.

"What's on your mind?" I asked. Looking outside too, to see what's she's seeing.

"You're not Mark Suckahburg."

"'Course not, I'm not the creator. I'm the creation, I am Facebook." I gave her a side look with a smile.

She only look at me looking all cringey.

"Kailangan mo 'kong tanggapin, babe. I'm all this." I laughed at her face.

"'Wag ka na lang mag-joke."

"Don't worry, I am already a joke." I tapped my chest twice.

"Tara na nga." She shook her head and offered her hand that I immediately grabbed, not wanting to pass the opportunity.

She held my hand for the first time, she hold on to it till we reach our destination.

Our surrounding is humid because of the rainy season. I offered her my jacket but she just shrugged and said, "Unfair kung ako ang gagamit, ikaw ang nagdala eh."

Napakamot na lang ako sa ulo.

"Okay, hindi naman gano'n pa kalamig but later, you will use it. Mahamog na mamaya, you don't want to get sick."

"Maybe, maybe not." She pouted before handing me a can of beer.

"You're 19, right?" I made sure.

"Yeah and you're older, right?" I smiled at her and shrugged, not answering her question.

Gillian, you are not trying to insult me about my age.

"You're a year older than me, I suppose," pahabol niya.

"Is it a big deal?" I asked before taking a sip.

I picked her can to open it before handing it back to her.

She muttered a thanks and look at the waves.

"No."

"Hmm."

"Don't get drunk, Josh. Ikaw ang Mama ko ngayon," she playfully warned.

"Hindi 'yan, I know my limits. You should not get drunk too."

She just shrugged.

"I recovered fast from being tipsy huh. . ." She suddenly realize that huh.

"Yep. But don't go drinking again alone. Maraming mapagsamantala sa paligid, Gil," I told.

She was about to say something but then a scattered shower came. Buti na lang ay nakabili kami ng napakalaki-laking payong.

"Fuck, that was close," she panted before relaxing under the umbrella.

"Mukha tayong tanga, Gil." I laughed and looked around.

We were alone in this public beach, not literally a resort but a good view is a plus. But still, I can't help it. We are making fun of ourselves here.

"At least may kadamay ka," she chirped.

"Hindi ka ba natatakot what if may shokoy na lumapit sa atin?" I retort.

"No, not really." She innocently narrowed her eyes and then there goes her pout again.

"Why?" I asked loudly because of the heavy rain.

"Matatakot sila sa gigantic nating payong." She beamed at me.

I saw our distance. Her chest already pressed against mine because of her being close when she said that. I now saw her gleam despite of the darkness of the evening.

Too close to kiss each other, but we were sober enough to hold back.

Gillian, what you've done to me?
