"Don't sleep, Gil," I uttered. Out of my breath because she's too close, too warm. . . too much for me.
Her head leaned on my shoulder and I can't hold back my hands from combing her hair for comfort.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I catechized, having my mind wanting to know what was the reason she drunk herself tonight.
"Hmm. No. But I'm gonna ask some questions, just answer whatever since I'm bored. . . And sleepy," she whispered the last two words.
That made me think something. What if she just want to be here and not go home? What if she like to here with me?
"Okay."
The rain abated, but I don't know about my heartbeats, I'm already familiar with it being abnormal.
And now, I'm being giddy. I know why, how and what is the reason about it though.
"What is your idea of perfect date?" she asked and finally move to look up at me.
Gillian, why do you have to stare at me like that?
"Wala naman, because I think wala naman 'yon sa venue or handa sa pagkain. I think for me it will be perfect if your date or your person is the one you find perfect. Like. . . For me, I want nothing, you know? I just want to do nothing with that perfect person for me."
"Hmm. . ."
"But I always pictured myself with my person under the sunset landscape." I smiled by myself.
I waited for her question but there's just silence. I thought for a second that she's already asleep but then she hugged my arm.
"Josh, where's your jacket? I'm cold." I laughed at her before pulling out of the bag we bought the jacket.
"Aren't you sleepy? Gusto mo na bang umuwi?" I asked when she's done with the jacket.
She look at me with her affectionate eyes. I always like her doe eyes.
"How about you? Uuwi ka na ba? Gusto mo na bang umuwi?"
"Depende sa 'yo. I'm here with you, Gil." I shrugged.
She bit her lips and sighed. "Okay, let's go home."
"Josh, it's already 11. Hindi ka ba hinahanap?" she asked, with an obvious concerned in her voice.
"I'm no minor, Gil. And I already told my cousin to inform my parents." And I just hope Nico is not drinking as of now.
"That's nice."
Nag-commute kaming dalawa. Shoulder to shoulder, I let her take a nap.
And when it's her stop, I woke her up and gave her a hug before saying good bye.
"I wish we could ride together in your bike," she whispered before squeezing me back.
She took off that night with my jacket on her.
Gillian, I didn't thought about you wearing my clothes. I didn't thought about it being looks good on you.
