By the time Taylor Swift blasting from the speakers downstairs woke me up, night had already fallen again. I rubbed my eyes and glanced at my phone. 10PM. I've slept for more than twelve hours.

Everything that's happened last night slammed into me. Off-tune singing and loud dancing assaulted my ears. I recognised Sheila's and Tina's voice. The two of them were probably having a Taylor Swift marathon.

Of course, Sheila was now a vampire and she's probably drunk all the blood I've had in the fridge. The vampire euphoria was bound to hit eventually.

Despite still not knowing how I felt about the entire thing, I knew I had two options. First, I could stay mad at her and sulk in my room while they danced to Taylor Swift. Or, I could put on the Chloe cloak of denial and indulge with them.

I hopped out of the bed and stopped in front of my closet. The second option was far too appealing to pass on, so I pulled out my sluttiest attire; the tight, black shimmering dress with a plunging neckline. We went through so much yesterday. And my best friend didn't transition into a vampire everyday.

And God forbid I left Thomas's doom and gloom ruin her transition.

I combed my hair, put on some lipstick and hopped to the living room. There, Sheila danced on the glass table, the legs quaking and shaking under her weight, a bottle of wine in her hand, serving as a microphone. Tina stood barefoot on the couch's backrest with the second bottle of wine.

Both of them were dressed in the skimpiest dresses I've ever seen, shouting their hearts out into the impromptu microphones, grinning widely.

Thomas and Ian were leaned against the kitchen isle, looking horrified. William wasn't here.

"Good morning!" I shouted over the music and hopped to the orange kitchen, pulling out the last blood bottle we had. "What is going on here?"

Ian glanced over my outfit, taking in the revealing cleavage, "Where are you going? Pole-dancing?"

"Shut up, you prude."

"We have a case of vampire euphoria." Thomas mumbled. "I'm afraid they'll ruin the furniture."

I took the third bottle of wine and poured some of it in the blood bottle.

"I've come to realise," I chugged the mixture, "that building a wine cellar was the best decision I've ever made."

"Good for you." Thomas held the gun sticking out of his pants. "I still think it's the armoury."

"You need to stop threatening people you'll shoot them." I frowned and handed the bottle to him. "I think you have a problem."

"Maybe someone should tell them to take it down a notch." Ian suggested. "Sheila's a new vampire, she doesn't know how to control herself-"

"Alright!" I shouted and clapped my hands. "Enough of this!"

Nobody listened to me.

I walked over to the TV set and turned down the volume.

"Oh, come on!" Tina whined. "We were just getting to the good stuff!"

"Right." Sheila jumped off the glass table. "Oh, my God, the floor feels like a cloud. I feel like I'm having a heart-attack. Is this normal? I don't feel normal."

"This is getting dangerous." I murmured.

"You should settle down a bit." Thomas added.

"You'll ruin my furniture." I put my hand on my hip. "I suggest we go out."

"Chloe!" Ian and Thomas shouted at the same time.

Sheila grinned, "Yes, let's go! Let's go now! Ah, is my outfit okay?"
