A Little Stop

Strolling out of the village's gate at a slow pace with Boruto and Kion by my side, I already accepted my face.

"Enkai, it's better this way, you'll be safer in there more than you are here," Kakashi had reassured, grabbing my shoulder to speak, "I'm sure you'll remember Iruka's hometown,"

I kicked away a small rock to the side as I muttered under my breath, Yeah right! I can take care of my self!

"Enkai, was it? I didn't know you were the child of Iruka and Kakashi-"

"And I didn't know that you hide in bushes, like a creep," I answered back openly, having Kion let out a short laugh that contained nervousness.

How can I get sent on a D Rank mission when I'm already on an assignment? Why me anyways.

"We'll be there by next morning," Kion quickly assured as the sun started to disappear into the horizon.

Saying nothing more, I searched for an area to set up the camp for the night and luckily I found a clear space for two tents and a campfire.

Once we were finished setting up the tent, I sat in front of the bright red fire that was burning against the dried wood planks.

The sparks that flew out of the flame intrigued me, the little sparks represented all the important things that were in life right now.

Iruka, Kakashi, Boruto, Asmodeus, the Academy, all of them would slowly leave until there's only one that remains. Sensei.

"Enkai? Enkai, are you outside?" Boruto questioned, peeking his head from his tent that he shared with Kion, leaving me with my own little tent.

"Yeah, I'm over here," I answered back, waving around to catch his attention and it did, walking over and sitting beside me in silence.

"Boruto?"

"Yeah,"

"Would you leave me like you did before?" I muttered, hiding my face into my knees that I clutched tightly.

Boruto quickly looked in confusion, coughing out of being shocked suddenly came out of his lips.

"What do you mean by that?" Boruto questioned curiously, now staring at me with concerned eyes. What I personally call 'pity'.

Realising what I caused, I stood up from the ground and swept the imaginary dust away from my clothes.

"Nothing, forget what I said," I said, glancing into his eyes with a hardened look that couldn't beat his.

His bright blue eyes. Matched the morning sky without hesitation. You could lose yourself in them.

So that's why I broke the eye contact and walked over to my tent, zipping it up before hearing Boruto talk again.

"I thought you said you trusted me?"

"I did... but not completely," I finished, stepping inside the tent and closing it quickly.

Why so I feel guilty, I thought, putting my hair into a bun before laying in the somewhat comfortable sleeping bag. It was better than the ground anyways....

"Why do you have to worry me so much," Boruto muttered, eyeing the tent that held his friend inside.

His friend that was kidnapped for so long that the only thing he could still remember was her sweet voice, sterm but still sweet when she wanted it to be.

Her eye that held so much pain and confusion. Her smile when she saw she had a real family in Konaha. All of those details were all of his friend that he couldn't just understand.

"Why can't you tell me your problems?" He whined to himself, hitting his head to the nearby tree before going on patrol....

"So you're telling me that Enkai went on a trip to the Land of Water and agreed!"

"Ye- yes, that's what I heard from the Hokage sir," The girl's voice stammered as she talked to herself...
