A week turned into two and the rumours about us fluttered around the small village.
Soon enough, the elders had invited us to their home for a small talk, with an obvious topic on their minds though even with the thoughts of shaking us up, we didn't.
They were quite impressed with our words and made it clear that we were the top candidate for being the UmiKage, which was not exactly what we wanted.
"So what do we do now," Boruto asked, tasting the ice cream that a small business man insisted for us to try his new recipe.
"Wait until the Hokage asks for us back, we're technically being held hostage," I joked honestly, swinging our linked hand.
Time wasn't the only thing that stretched out, our friendship did as well, it was more natural to hold hands and act like a couple now.
"I wouldn't think of it like that," Boruto laughed happily, releasing a satisfied smile after he tasted the ice cream.
Having the joke done its job, I let out a smile of happiness at the boy being happy.
When was life so peaceful like this? Most of my life had always been about ending somebody's life or getting instructions from Sensei.
This time I get to make my own decisions, like trying new ice cream and being nice, not horrible and deadly, which I show to my victims before they get mercilessly killed.
"I heard that the UmiKage and his wife would be coming back today," Boruto questioned curiously.
"Yeah, I heard rumours that they were going to have a meeting," I answered openly, opening the door to the home that has been our for weeks.
Since the appropriate age to be the UmiKage was 18 years old, the elders would either have to wait until we would turn that age or will have to nominate another.
"Well, I got a postcard from Himawari," Boruto informed, showing a card with a squiggly kind of handwriting before sitting down by the counter.
Sitting beside him, I started to read the small letter that was a bit hard to read, 'Big Brother Boruto! I hope you and Enkai are fine! Come back soon and tell us about your travel!'
I smiled at the letter before turning to look at Boruto, he had appeared to be daydreaming but facing my way with dreamy eyes?
They felt inviting and loving, the shade of his blue orbs made him it look angelic. Breathtaking and enchanting was other ways of describing it.
Eye contact was better to keep now that I don't have anything to hide from Boruto. He broke barriers that even Sensei struggled to break....
"Do you think I will accept you back as my student! You fool! How dare you have become back soft hearted and kind! That is not how I taught you!"
"Sensei give me another chance! I don't care about anyone in the Leaf village!"
"Lies! All you say is lies! I sent you to the Leaf village to test you and you failed! Your parents, your friends and most definitely that blonde haired boy, every one of them will suffer because of you!"
Faces of people in the Leaf village began to appear as they looked scared or angry at my appearance.
"Go away you demon! You have brought madness upon us!"
"I knew she was bad from the beginning! The child!"
"Let's kick her out of the village!"
Many had clearly responded with the last statement, cheers were heard from a mile away.
"No! Please! I didn't mean for that to happen!" I pleaded.
"Enkai,"
Turning around was Iruka and Kakashi. They had blood spewing from their body as if they had been in a war and back.
"Father-"
"Do not call me that anymore! I do not need such troublesome child! You should have stayed away from us!"
Kakashi looked angry. Very angry that he clenched his clothes with such strength that it ripped a little off at the side.
"I knew you were bad!" The sassy voice came from behind me, all of the Academy students were there as well, except one blonde boy.
Different kinds of people surrounded me with angry and irritated eyes and I instantly knew my presence definitely wasn't welcomed anymore.
Starting to run past all of them, eyes still followed my every step and movement and it gave me the chills until I stopped in front of somebody.
My mouth couldn't have any words come out of it as I saw Boruto with my katana deep into his chest with blood leaking out of his mouth.
When he started to cough and stumble, I ran towards him with an intention to catch him but I felt nothing against my shoulder. I dreaded to turn around but when I had, a shocked gasp had escaped my lips.
Boruto had been pierced in different places with metal bars that made him stay in place as he hung against a pole.
The writing 'We are dead because of you' was placed under Boruto and one by one, other bodies were laid on the ground with their eyes staring at me.
"This is what happens when you don't listen," The voice came out from Boruto's mouth.
"No! I'll do anything! Just don't kill them! I'll come back, I promise!" I cried, falling on my knees as I covered my vision in fear but I could still feel their eyes.
Eyes. Those terrifying eyes. Why won't they go away!
"Come back to me if you don't want this happening to the village," A voice finally whispered into my ear before the nightmare was over...
Hey guys! Sorry if it took so long to update again! It's my birthday today and I'm currently celebrating! I will try to update more! Anyways bye!
