3rd Pov

Life of a royal, a high born noble who is above others is always a house of cards. With a load of power comes responsibility and jealousy. Power and wealth can drive even the kindest and graceful to the levels of insanity. One who has had a taste of it can never ever let go of it, Yes, just like a drug. A very potent one at that. But this drug tends to bring out the true nature of the one that dares to possess it.

Because
It's not the power that corrupts.
It's the possessor of that power gets corrupted by the latter.

Such is the quest for power and wealth that drives it's possessors to do such horrific and atrocious acts that it would rip the eardrums of those that have heard them. Be it love, hate, adultery, treason and murder, these possessors have used every weapon yet to make sure that the control and power that they possess, shall for-ever remain theirs.

Such is the tale of the duke of Azaleas and the king of Croyan, who, overlooking their long history of behind-the-scene rivalry and hatred finally came to a reconciliation as the two noblest bloods would finally entwine, with the promise of a beautiful child with the blood of two who would be destined to one day unite the broken faction against the final war against the demons.

The king of this domain would be born.

Thus the two young children were betrothed in accordance to the prophecy. They were a match made by the goddess of Destiny. Or atleast they were supposed to, till a foolish royal prince ruined everything...

Travishu pov

When you, a high born noble are supposed to be betrothed to a dirty commoner bastard child, it makes you want to vomit. But I have never believed that I would find him so enticing despite all of that. So much so that I would want to possess him, make him so addicted to myself that no matter what i did he would forever be mine.

It's as clear as day when I saw that poor child with disgruntled Ruby red hair weeping with his head covered. Clear sandy skin that would beautify every single piece of fabric that would have ever been laid upon him. His complexion was rather exotic, minty blue eyes and those plump lips. That moment when your heart skips a beat was the moment when i knew that it's my mate. We were destiny.

I was over the moon when we heard that we would soon be engaged. I wonder what kind of noble blood could yield such beauty that fell into my possession.

But it turns out that he's half blooded commoner, and a bastard child. Oh how poorly have I been cheated. His mother used to be a waitress, his grandfather, a harlot. What the heck?

How can ever a noble prince as I ought to be, who would one day rule over this vast kingdom get a poor commoner as a queen?
I have truly been foolish to ever have found those looks enticing. This is an insult to the throne, a true insult.

Surprisingly, no one seems to even care about this. They first told you that you are above everything. The one who should be married to you must also be of unparalleled blood, and now ask you to look beyond status. What a joke.

If i could do something, that this bogus agreement would be finally done for.. I would willingly do so. Atleast that was the initial thought when i had requested him to do all sorts of things and compared them to others.

But as more and more time passed, he grew up to be more beautiful, graceful and devoted. He literally defied all of my expectations and became someone indispensable to the society. I had to ask for his guidance and wits, every single time, for every single meeting and encounter.
