You watched the boy sob into his arms, hesitantly approaching him.
Around you, the forest gently swayed in a summer breeze, a saddening reminder that the world carried on despite this child's tears.
"Are you out here all alone?" You ask quietly, moving to sit infront of him."
Hes quick to snap his eyes up to your gentle expression.
"Screw off." He spat, only mean eyes showing from behind his arms.
You stared in shock for a moment.
"Bitch." He added, almost like punctuation.
You felt yourself smirking, unable to hold back a laugh.
He seemed to ease up slightly at that, tension melting out of his shoulders.
Do you make a habit of crying in forests?" You asked.
"Do you make a habit of looking for people who do?" He shot right back.
Touche.
"...Do you want to talk about it?" You asked, albeit awkwardly.

"Not really looking to open up to some stranger who just watched me cry." He scoffed.
"Fair enough. Is there anything else I could do to help?" You moved closer, reaching into your bag to pull out two golden apples, and offering the blonde one.
He greedily snatches it from your hand, making a rather revolting display of devouring the poor fruit.
He sniffed.
"You could pretend you never saw any of this. That's a start." He shrugged, picking grit from dirty rigid nails. Seriously, those things looked borderline painful.
"Forget the way you just murdered that gap?" You ask, still slightly amazed. Amazed? More like shocked.
He grinned, all teeth.
"Nah. You can remember that."
"I'm Y/N."
"Big Man."
"That's not it."
He sighed.
"Thommy Theseus Careful Danger Kraken Innit." He did a slight bow, "At your service."
"Damn. You just collect names?" You snort.
"Tommy and Thesus came from my brother's for your information." He griped, "and my name is poggers."
"Poggers?"
"Super pog."
"You're weird." You smile at Tommy, laughing.
"Yeah, I get that a lot." He shrugged.
"Nah, it's fine. I'm weird too. I think it's cool." You comment.
Tommy breaks out into a wide grin.
"Well then! I get the feeling we're going to be GREAT friends!" Tommy announced, jumping up and pulling you up with him.
He swung an arm around your neck, and the two of you walked out of the forest, listening to Tommy's ramblings of new schemes to come.
This sounds like a start of a chaotic friendship.
