Omniscient POV

"Today folks, we gon' do a 1v1 against the one and only Jay Critch.", Rome spoke to his camera that his friend was holding.

"Who you think gon' win cuh?", he asked his camera man, Syd.

"Ion know, Jay look like he about to pull some moves bro." Syd said.

Rome and Jay chuckled. Jay was a quiet dude and Rome noticed that and so would his supporters.

Rome liked breaking shy or quiet people out of their shell and getting to know them.

After a long game it was clear that Jay won, both boys drenched in sweat stood infront of the camera as Rome did his outro.

"You tryna get a pizza or sumn?", Rome asked Jay as Syd turned the camera off.

"Nah I wanna take a shower." Jay took his shirt that he took off earlier and slung it over his shoulder.

"Aight so how about we meet at the place in two or three hours?" Rome offered

"Nahh, I'm tired mane I'm sorry." Jay really didn't like the idea of being in a restaurant with so many people around.

He could do it but he didn't see why he should do it for someone he didn't even know.

"That's the least you could do after beating my ass like this on MY channel.", Rome made Jay laugh a little.

"Maybe inna future." Jay dapped him up.

"Tomorrow at the Pizza place around the corner. I'm paying for yo Uber aight?", Rome offered.

Jay hated seeming rude. It didn't sit right with him and it stayed with him for a very long time so he just gave in.

"Aight, same time?", Rome smiled nodding his head. He wanted this to be the start of a friendship.

Jay is a known rapper and from the many short videos you see of him on social media it's easy to tell that he was someone who stayed to himself and is a nice person.

In his songs he uplifts different groups of people and that's the message he wants to send out too.

"It's a date.", Syd joked making Rome laugh and Jay chuckle a little. They all parted ways heading to their homes.

Syd immediately started editing the video which he got paid for by his friend. Rome went home and started playing the game with his other friends because he hated being in his big house on his own.

Jay took a shower and then went to bed just how he had planned to.

The next day, after both males ate cereal for breakfast, they meet up just like planned.

"Where yo homeboy at?", Jay asked while looking down at the menu they were given.

"Why? You don't like us being alone?",Rome joked.

Jay actually liked that it was only the two of them and the area they sat at was pretty secluded.

He only chuckled and gave Rome the menu when he found what he wanted. Rome brushed his fingers over his, winking playfully.

Jay didn't know one guy who didn't act gay so this was nothing new to him. "Nah for real though, how you feel 'bout this?"

"Bout what?", Jay looked at him

"making new friends." Rome added. "Oh. It's cool." Jay shrugged.

"You'on talk a lot." Rome said, "ion got nun to say." Jay shrugged again.

"Say anything you want bruh. I know you got sum shit to say.", Rome spoke.

"I really don't though.", Jay stated.

"Aight. We gone spend the whole day together so you have some time.", Rome shrugged. "I want you to atleast tell me to shut up."

"I ain't doing that.", Jay shook his head. Rome just wanted to get him out of his shell somehow.

Rome stayed quiet looking forward at Jay who stared right back at him. "What I gotta do to get you to stop being so quiet?" Rome asked more so to himself.

Jay shrugged. He's always like this except for when he was around his brother, who died two years ago.

Thinking back to those times it is very obvious that Jay closed in on himself after his brother died and that's when he started going up with his uplifting music.

He just wants everyone to leave this world with those positive messages in their head.

"Hello.", the waitress then introduced herself with a smile on her face and took both of their orders.

Jay did have many people try to talk to him and figure out what was going through his head but it never worked and he doubted Rome could do it.

"Wanna bite?", Rome offered holding his pizza out for Jay who shook his head in return. There was silence before Rome spoke up again.

"Damn nigga, you not gone offer me nun?", Jay chuckled at that, "I can leave some for you." Jay didn't know where his mouth had been.

"I'm just playing.", Rome knocked his knee against the other chuckling.

Rome definitely had to get Jay to be more comfortable around him someway, somehow.
