"hey kid."

you stopped punching the sand bag in front of you when you heard leonid calling to you, who had just entered your training room.

"what's up?' you asked, wiping the sweat away from your forehead.

"just wanted to see what you were up to." he watches you as he rests his back against the wall. "how's training?"

"i think i'm improving alot." you reply before drinking from your water bottle. "that technique you taught me yesterday was a bit tough, but i'll get the hang of it in no time."

"i see." he smiles softly. "out of all the students i have taught, you're the only one who learned this fast."

"really?" you chuckled. "i'm just that good, aren't i?"

"don't get so cocky kid." he rolled his eyes. "tell me, what really is your goal?"

you tilt your head at his question, "i've told you a thousand times now leonid. it's to–"

"avenge your parents, i know. but what happens after?"

you went silent after that. you already had a plan of course, it had always been in your mind after the incident. right after you decided that you would train to grow stronger, one thing was for sure.

kill the murderer. but what happens next? were you just going to leave like nothing happened? live an honest life after that? none of these scenarios ever made you satisfied.

"don't tell me you don't actually have a plan yet?" leonid asked, eyes widening a bit.

"i do." you balled your fist. "i do have a plan."

"mind sharing it with me?"

you could never. you couldn't just tell him you plan on ending your own life once your mission was done, not to the only person you had left.

"i'll move some place far from here." you gave him a fake smile. "i'll get a job then come to visit you when i go on vacations."

"you don't need to worry about me, kid." he sighed. "i'm glad you have a plan right after. i'll leave it up to you then."

you nod, "of course."

there was a point in your life where you'd question what the point of all this was anymore. what if you never found the killer and end up searching for your whole life?

it didn't matter to you. you wanted something that could keep you going in life, having a goal in mind was the only option you had.

after that said goal was dealt with, there was nothing next. and so, having no one left but yourself, there was only one option in your mind.

"you're really good at this, miss [Y/N]!" barbara, someone who worked for the clinic of the palace praised your work.

you snapped out of your thoughts and went back to what you were doing, which was tending to the palace's garden.

"thank you, i was taught how to plant at a young age by my father." you smiled.

"i see! seems like you're close with your father."

"...yeah."

from afar, eula who was with teucer spots you with barbara in the garden area of the palace. before she could approach you, teucer had beaten her to it.

"[Y/N]!" he calls out and runs towards you.

you spot the young prince sprinting at your direction, "prince teucer."
