It was all a lie.

This was fucked up and embarrassing.

How should I even feel about it?

It was all one lame fucking lie.

"Haejin, you ruined my art!"

"So? It was just a normal class, not a test or anything." Haejin, one of my best friends and now one of my biggest targets spoke, rolling her eyes afterwards clearly thinking I was overreacting.

"But you still don't ruin my work like that!" I said even though that was not what was bothering me the most.

"Nia, I knew you didn't like it anyway. Just thank me for making Jungkook notice you."

I felt the heat reach my cheeks, embarrassment rushing up on me again as his name was mentioned.

"Notice me? Is me confronting him and blaming him for ruining my art, which he by the way didn't do, 'noticing me'? He'll probably think I'm crazy now!" I spoke getting frustrated but still trying to keep my voice low as we stood in line waiting to be served some food by the usually observant cafeteria ladies.

"Nia, I love you and all, but you are crazy." She emphasized mockingly.

"Not the point Hae." I scoffed, "Hey and I'm not crazy!"

Haejin laughed as she had grabbed her sandwich, slowly making her way to a free table for us to sit at. I rolled my eyes at her.

To be honest, I wasn't really mad at her for ruining my painting. As she said, it was just a regular class, and I wasn't satisfied with my work anyway. Though I still hate when others interfere with my work. What had made me freak out was that she made me blame Jungkook for it.

I had had a crush on Jungkook for quite a while and of course Haejin knew that. She was very invested in "Nikook", her ship name for me and Jungkook, and even found out that Jungkook liked me back.

Well I didn't believe her at first as Jungkook and I only had one class, art, together and rarely spoke.

But the weekend before this happened, Jungkook had asked me on a date.

I was head over heels after he asked me, to say the least. As soon as I had gotten home I had screamed into my pillow and called Haejin.

"I told you"  was all she had said.

The date with Jungkook went really well. It was the typical go-to-the-movies date and a walk afterwards, but it was anything but boring when it was with him.

It was actually kind of surprising that he went for the cliché date as I did not expect him to be that kind of guy, but I liked it.

Cutting it short, it was the best date I had ever had... and the first... and the only... but we'll stick to 'the best'.

I had called Haejin as soon as I got home, rambling about how amazing it was and how lightheaded he made me feel.

So Haejin knew all about the date a few days prior to this and she just made me embarrass myself in front of him.

"You didn't talk to him at all in class. How else would I get you to talk to him?" She spoke as I sat down across from her putting down my tray with a sandwich and an apple, "I'm sorry to say, but you need a sprinkle of confidence and outgoingness, and that's what I'm here for." She winked at me.

I rolled my eyes once again, knowing and hating that she was right.

The end of the school day came by rather slow. Thankfully, my teacher was in a good mood and let us go ten minutes early. I was standing in front of the school, waiting for my other best friend Hoseok's class to end. Every now and then, we walked home together, despite our houses being far apart.
