Time had went by painfully slow the past few days for the impatient girl.

Not only because the summer holidays was on its way with their last class being this Friday... But also because the day Nia would turn 18 was just around the corner.

For the 17 year old the day was so close that every second felt unbearably long.

Finally she was gonna be considered an adult, but this was not what Nia was the most excited about.

For the first time, she got to throw a party at her house. And even on the exact date of her birthday.

Her parents had agreed to let her, as a proof of the trust they had in their soon-to-be big girl. They would celebrate in the morning as they usually did, and then Mr Kim and Mrs Kim would be staying at a newly done spa in the centre of Seoul, which they had wanted to do for long. Either way it was a win win situation.

Ms Kim, Nia's mother was tough to convince, but Mr Kim had a soft spot for his daughter and at the mention of the spa, Ms Kim caved in to her husband and daughter.

With her parents out of the house, the first day of the summer holiday and the weather forecast telling sun all day, nothing could go wrong. And surrounded by her new boyfriend and best friends, this was going to be a great start for the rest of the summer.

Nia had invited a few people already, as she passed familiar faces down the school's hallway. For the rest, she would text them later when she got home.

"So can he come?" Hoseok mumbled with his mouth full of rice.

"Wait!" Haejin interrupted just before Nia was about to answer the question, "There's one condition to be invited."

Nia perked her eye and put down the chopsticks in her hand, ready to hear her best friend's condition for her party.

"Is he hot?"

Hoseok's eyes widened and he turned to face Haejin besides him, "Wh- I don't know, I'm not gay!"

Hoseok's eyes switched from Haejin's to Nia's and back to Haejin's.

Nia couldn't help but chuckle at her friend's panicking behavior.

"It doesn't make you gay to say he's hot." Haejin said, while being very serious about her requirement, "If he's not hot and single, then no."

"Haejin." Nia spoke softly, but with a tone which made Haejin scoff.

"What, can't I have some fun?"

"Does he really have to be hot for you to have fun with him?" Hoseok questioned with a frown as he had swallowed his rice.

"Hey!" Haejin nudged the boy's shoulder making him wince, "What are you insinuating?"

"Nothing..." Hoseok grabbed his chopsticks and was about to stuff his mouth with another scoop of rice, but Haejin pushed him, making him almost fall of the bench.

"Hey!"

Nia rolled her eyes as her childish friends once again started fighting like kids.

"Yeah sure Hope." Nia spoke and the two in front of her sat still again as the attention was drawn back to her, "He sounds like a nice guy, you can bring him."

"I was going to anyway, but thank you." Hoseok spoke, smiling sassily at Nia.

Haejin's attitude is really rubbing off on him, Nia thought and also picked up her chopsticks again to start eating.

"He better be hot." Haejin mumbled lowly and Hoseok nudged her, the two about to start fighting again as something caught their attention.

Nia felt an arm wrap around her shoulder and tensed when Jungkook sat down besides her.
