There's gonna be a lot of texting in this chapter, hence the title... Hang in there...

Nia POV

I woke up to my mom's inaudible voice coming from outside my window. I averted my drooping eyes to where the sound came from and noticed it was still dark.

Given that it was the month of May, it was not usually dark in the morning.

I rubbed my eyes and grabbed my phone, which was as always laying next to my pillow, to check the time and when I noticed it was 11 pm and still Friday I sat up in my bed immediately.

That's when my eyes again everted to the window, from which the sound came.

Is that Jungkook's voice?

I stood up from my bed and went to look out the window and noticed Jungkook standing tensely in my driveway, talking to my mom.

Shit

I figured I must have fallen asleep before I got Jungkook to leave.

"I promise you, I would never do anything with your daughter without your consent." Jungkook spoke politely, a clear nervous tone in his voice and my eyes widened immediately.

Shit she thinks we fucked

I ran down the stairs, noticing my dad on the couch before walking out the front door.

It was typical my parents, my mom being the 'strict' one and my dad just minding his own business, catching up on the latest news about American politics.

"Mom what are you doing?" I said in almost a harsh tone, which was not intentional. She turned around her eyes landing on me, Jungkook's landing on me as well.

"When I said you weren't allowed to throw a party, I didn't mean you could invite over a boy Nia!" My mother spoke, pointing a finger at me.

Despite me being half embarrassed that Jungkook was witnessing this moment, half annoyed that my mother was being way too dramatic, I tried keeping my cool.

"Mom relax, it's not like the world is ending." I put up a smile. Even though I tried keeping it cool, I couldn't help but find it quite awkward that my mom was making such a big deal about it in front of Jungkook.

"I think I should go." Jungkook spoke from behind my mom and I quickly sent him an apologetic smile, "I think so too." My mom spoke.

"Mom! Seriously, what's the problem? We only ordered food and watched a movie, if it was Hoseok you would've invited him to stay, why the sudden headache?" I said, trying to maintain calm and not raise my voice at my own mother.

"Let's talk inside, it's chilly." She said and shot me with her eyes before going inside.

"It's chilly."  It wasn't.

At least I wasn't the only one sensing the awkward situation.

I knew my mom and she was not the most terrifying angry mother you could get, so I didn't really mind the situation.
