Ryder opened his bedroom door, balancing the silver tray on one arm, pocketing the key with the other. He did all of this in complete silence, knowing that if anyone found out they would throw him out of the prophecy and kill her. He didn't do it out of love or compassion but out of pity. Pity for the girl who ran away with a boy. Pity for the traitor.

"Ryd'" she asked, her head coming out from under the covers, "is that you?"

"Ryder."

"I- what?"

"It's Ryder. You lost the right to call me 'Ryd', when you ran away and betrayed us all. You broke your brother's heart and now he treats us like dirt on the bottom of his boot. Trash. Now eat the food," Ryder snapped and dumped the tray down. The soup lid clanged and a watery substance pooled out and dripped onto the sheets of the bed. She stared at Ryder, shocked. Slowly, under his steely glare she moved and picked up the spoon and dipped it into the soup. She brought it to her lips and sipped. Ryder nodded and left the room.

"Wait!" She called. Ryder stopped halfway through the doorway and turned around. When she didn't continue he shrugged his shoulders for her to continue; he was done talking to her for today. "Liam will come for me and I will go again," she said.

Ryder raised his eyebrows, "what makes you think we won't kill you first? Or him?"

"I love him!" She yelled out then smacked a hand over her mouth in horror. "Sorry, I'm sorry don't send me to die,"

Ryder's eyes widened, the electric blue illuminated the room. "You love him?" She nodded meekly. "Well, we will just have to teach him a lesson. He's the reason you left, the reason you betrayed us and the reason you broke your brother's heart!" Ryder spun on his heel and stalked out the room, wails echoing throughout the house. He slammed the door.

Sorry this is so short but I didn't want to cut to Acacia in the same chapter. Her chapter is going to be published later tonight hopefully so you'll get two updates in one day. I hope that makes up for this short one.
