Her doorbell rang a couple of times before Acacia went begrudgingly to open it. Her door was a vibrant green, she painted it with the permission of the council to match her colourful house which was painted to look like a flower. Most of the houses in Acacia were anyway, it wasn't like she wanted to stick out, in fact, having the same name as the town she lived in was worse enough, her last name, Blue was also coincidentally the same as the town's founder, Thomas Blue. Acacia just wanted to blend in, not stick out, but her best friend Cassie Frank helped her achieve nothing of the sort. "What?" she grumbled and pulled a hand through her bed-hair.

"That's not a nice way to greet your new neighbor is it?"

The speaker was a tall, handsome man but Acacia didn't really think he was he type. She had yet to figure out her type! He stood on her doorstep with his arms folded and an arrogant smirk plastered on his face.

"Well no, but I didn't realise we were getting a new family to our neighborhood. Usually the councill informs us a couple of weeks before they move in," said Acacia, then she stuck out her hand, "let's begin again. Hello, I'm Acacia Blue and I am your neighbor."

The man, whose name was still unknown smiled at her, his white teeth flashed and he held out his hand and grasped Acacia's small one. "Hello Acacia Blue, my name is Charlie Maddox and I will be attending Kristen Ed (Kristen Education Facility) where I will be studying computers and other nerd junk," he laughed and Acacia began to re-judge Charlie, he seemed to be a decent guy.

"Funny, I study the arts, we'll be close on Ed grounds. That's lucky. I guess I'll be seeing more of you Charlie Maddox. I'll pop over later with some 'welcome' baking."

"Yum, you baking it yourself?" Charlie asked.

Acacia blushed and looked down, "I can't cook or bake for anything," she laughed. Charlie leaned up against her door causally.

"I guess I'll be eating Mrs. Potts' cookies then? I hear that bakery is to die for!" exclaimed Charlie, grinning.

"You already know me so well," retorted Acacia, "I'll see you around?"

"Definitely," he said and turned around to leave, "bye doll."

"Bye!" she called and shut the door and smiled. He really seemed like a nice guy. She walked back into the kitchen where she picked up her phone and dialled Mrs. Potts' bakery. She ordered some blueberry pie cookies and informed her that they were to be delivered to 5 Hill Road. After that, Acacia jumped onto the beige couch and tried to tame her hair but nothing worked. Again. Bored, she flicked through her contacts on her phone until one number caught her eye.

"Hmm, I havn't texted her in a while," she thought and pressed the screen with her thumb.

Acacia Blue --- Trinity Bowen: hey Trin', what are you up to?

It didn't take long for her friend to answer.

Trinity Bowen --- Acacia Blue: hey babe, what's been happening? Havn't seen you in ages! Need to catch up. Any gossip around Kristen Ed? Tell me everything. ;)

Acacia Blue --- Trinity Bowen: Nothing really, the Tests are coming up and I'm studying for those. No gossip except for Cassie up-chucking all over Finn Gold in History a couple of weeks ago. I agree, must meet somewhere! What about the café down the road from the Test facilities?

Trinity Bowen --- Acacia Blue: Is that Cassie Frank, the one no one likes? :)) (laughing so much)

Acacia Blue --- Trinity Bowen: yepp! The very same. ugh i h8 her! Such a cow. What do you say to meeting at the cafè? xxxx

Trinity Bowen --- Acacia Blue: Already on my way there, be there in 10 xxx c u soon

Acacia smiled to herself and picked her bag up from the floor and slung the strap over her shoulder. "House, I'm going out. Lock everything behind me please."

"Reminder that you have a meeting with Senior Jess about Testing at 3:30," said her house interface in it's crackly, mechanical voice. Acacia groaned and checked her watch.

1:45

She had time but her catch up with Trinity would have to be brief. She closed her front door behind her and fingered her Interface Ring absentmindedly. She felt the usual vibration of the ring informing her that the house had been locked up and she set off down her driveway. She looked over her shoulder and saw Charlie taking massive boxes out of a large truck and she waved. "Bye Charlie!" she yelled. The man stood straight and wiped sweat from his brow and waved back.

"See you later Acacia!"

As Acacia got closer to her hovercar, she felt her ring buzz on her finger again and the lights on her blue car flashed twice. She popped the driver's door and hopped in. "Julio's Cafè, please," she said once the car had fully turned on. The car took a few seconds to plot it's course but when it finished, the engines started up and the car lifted off the ground. Acacia sat back as it veered out of the driveway and out onto the road.

"Wow, Trin, you look... Wow," Acacia said, as she stared at her friend who had had a massive makeover. Acacia hadn't seen Trinity since her Test and it she must have been given a great result. Makeovers like those didn't come cheap, it must have cost over 2000 pieces. Her cheekbones had been puck higher up and now stood out. All of Trinity's baby fat was gone, she was as thin as a super model. Her luscious black hair tumbled past her waist in glossy waves, the golden headband stood out against her natural ivory skin. Acacia could tell she had beautiful curves under her expensive, pretty clothing and her makeup looked professional.

Trinity smiled graciously at Acacia and motioned her over to a booth in the far corner of the cute cafè. Acacia noticed the graceful strides she took and the dainty way she scooched into the seat. "Thanks, Acacia, it means a lot coming from someone like you," Trinity said in her soft, petite voice.

Acacia's blue eyes widened, "what do you mean?" she chuckled, "me?"

Trin's own eyes widened as Acacia brushed herself off again as she had done for her whole life. "What do you mean? Seriously, Acacia, you're gorgeous. I based my sketch off you when I got my makeover. With your stunning white hair and blue eyes, tanned skin and long, thin limbs, you're everybody's idol!" Acacia's lips stretched into a shy smile and she twisted her hair around her finger. Her hair was very white, it almost looked silver in the sun and she did get praise for her eyes. Many thought they were contacts. "I mean come on Acacia! How do you no see it! You're beautiful!"

"That means so much Trin. Thank you," she murmured quietly and looked at Trinity with sparkling eyes. "Anyway, what's happened with you? What were your Test results?"

"Well, I can't tell you anything about the actual Test but I suppose I can tell you my result. OK, I got a 85. That's out of one hundred and it was so high, the government moved me to the West side of town and into a sweet apartment building overlooking city centre. It's wonderful!" sighed Trinity happily.

'Wow!" exclaimed Acacia, "the West? That's where all the famous citizens live. All of the Seniors live there as well- shoot! I have a meeting with Senior Jess soon!" she pushed out of the booth and checked her phone.

3:20

Wow, time flies when you're having fun! "I'll see you around Trinity! Maybe I'll move to West City as well! Got to dash, I'll text you," Acacia stuttered, frantic. What if the traffic was terrible? Would she make it in time. Trinity waved her away.

"Go. I've got to go call Dan anyway, I'll see you around. Bye Acacia!"

Acacia sprinted past some customers, one almost dropped their drink as Acacia sped past. She muttered something under her breath and glared at Acacia's retreating back. "Sorry!" Acacia called over her shoulder, then proceded to her car.

So this is my first sci-fi kind of story and I would love all your feedback on it! Next update is at three or more stars. If you have any idea for the cast so far, please comment as I have no idea! :)
