"How is she?" A concerned Grayson asked Rachel while glancing at an unconscious Veronica laying in her bed.

Rachel had no idea what had happened to Veronica, all she knew was that in the middle of the night, she felt her room get cold, moments before checking up on her unconscious friend, just to find her struggling and gasping for air in her sleep.

She was worried, Veronica was one of her best friends, they were practically sisters in a way and since Jason's death, Veronica had drifted apart from her and the team. "Look, Dick, I know you're just trying to protect her, but its been years and she still doesn't know." Rachel looked straight into his eyes as she spoke firmly.

"I know Rachel, but we just can't tell her. It will break her and it's best if she just moves on."  Grayson responded before turning around just to find Veronica standing behind him.

"Tell me what, Dick?" She asked folding her arms to her chest while glancing at both of them. "Jason is alive, he's been alive for a few years." Rachel blurted out while glaring at Dick and looking back at a now furious Veronica.

Veronica didn't say anything, all she did was grab her black leather jacket from the bed and stormed out of the room, ignoring Grayson who was telling her to come back, but all she did was flip him off.

One thing about Jason and Veronica's relationship was that both of them had an attitude hard to tame, but what Jason had, Veronica didn't, what she had, Jason didn't, they complemented each other and they loved it, apart from being lovers, they were also a team.

---

"I told you not to tell her Rachel. " Dick said, he was angry, but he had it coming."Because she deserves to know and she's my friend, also I'm fucking tired of keeping secrets from you or anyone." Rachel responded as she rolled her eyes and left the room.

Rachel hated fighting with Grayson, but she was tired of the secrets, she was tired of him and not keeping his promises of "no more secrets", it was also disturbing her good night sleeps and she needed some silence in the tower.

Veronica's POV.

To say I was angry was not enough, I wanted to punch someone and pick up a fight like Jason did, but instead, I found myself in Jason's now empty grave, as I opened up a bottle of whisky I stole out of Grayson's secret, not so secret alcohol treasure, I pour a little of the whiskey on the empty grave and then took a shot of the whiskey myself.

"To not being dead, apparently, did you even tried looking for me?" I spoke out loud to this empty grave, letting out my frustration, trying not to cry, I hated crying. "why..?" I whispered taking the last shot before pouring the rest to the ground, I already felt drunk as it was.

I let out a sigh and in that moment I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I reached out my hand for it and could barely see the name on the screen.

"Hello?" I struggled before answering and All I could hear was silence, I looked back at the screen to see it was an unknown number, I got annoyed and hung up, I was already too fed up for any prank calls and too drunk, to be even outside at two in the morning.

As I made my way in to the tower, I could imagine Dick standing at the door, ready to shout anything that comes to his mind, just to be forgiven. But I needed an explanation and I was getting one, one way or another, but not today.

___
As Veronica expected, Grayson was indeed waiting for her, as he opened the door she stumbled inside and rolled her eyes at him, she wasn't feeling like talking about the situation, so she simply ignored him and went straight to her room. While she was nowhere in sight, Grayson noticed Gar and Rachel standing in the living room.
