Enemies

Four day's before, Veronica had Rachel take a look at the dagger she had found and told her everything that was happening to her after she had the encounter with Hades.

Nothing was out of the ordinary, Bruce had Gar helping him and Jason at the Batcave with the new threats in Gotham, leaving Veronica and Rachel in the dark of what was happening.

Meanwhile Bruce had them both training, he also wanted Rachel to help Veronica control her new powers, but then days later, as the girls were training the dagger that Veronica had found disappeared.

"It was right there, besides my stuff.." Veronica spoke pointing at the floor where her phone and jacket were laying, Rachel was still trying to figure out how something that was right in front of them the whole time disappeared in the blink of an eye. "Wait.. I can still feel it's energy, maybe I can trace it back." Rachel spoke as she closed her eyes and focused her energy on the dagger's energy.

A few minutes passed and Rachel opened her eyes. "Let's go before I lose it's track.." Veronica nodded and grabbed her things while texting Jason on their way out, just in case anything happened to them.

Rachel and Veronica walked through the streets of Gotham, ignoring the sirens and the madness happening on the streets, after what seemed like an hour of searching, Rachel made a stop, they were far from the city's chaos but not too far from the noise and danger either.

"Rachel, are you a hundred percent sure this is the location?" Veronica stared at the old building not too far from the docks of Gotham. "Yes, here is where the energy is the strongest and ends." She spoke glancing at Veronica one more time before getting inside the abandon building.

"Wait, what if this is some of Hades's tricks?" Veronica stopped before they were completely inside, Rachel let out a sigh before speaking. "I'm pretty sure that dagger you lost has nothing to do with him. I can sense a stronger power here, but it's not his." She responded with reassurance, Veronica only nodded at her response. "Here goes nothing.." she spoke before grabbing the handle of the abandoned building's door, making a loud cracking noise.

There was nothing inside, only old furnitures that looked like they've been there for years, old walls painted with graffiti and a few rats here and there., as they kept walking and searching around they heard a noise, making them both walk towards it slowly, not letting their guards down.

Rachel prepared to strike at whoever it was, while Veronica prepared herself to strike too, both hands ready to shot her lighting bolts.

Then BOOM!

"What the hell was that?" An explosion was heard making the ground shake beneath them, they both looked at each other and then towards the noise only to bump into the one and only Gar.

"Wow wow! It's me!" Gar who had his hands up shouted at the both of them who were ready to strike until they realized it was him. "What the hell Gar? We almost annihilated you!" Veronica yelled placing both of her arms down.

"Sorry! Jason told me you guys left and since he can't join us right now, he sent me, tracking devices remember?" He pointed to his phone showing Rachel and Veronica's location. "I thought we had no trackers?" Rachel spoke confused. "Well, we are practically part of Batman's crew now, plus Gotham has been worst these days." He finished with a hint of disappointment in his last words.

"Well, you guys have been keeping us girls out of everything so we might as well do our own thing.." Rachel responded while Veronica agreed. "I shouldn't be the one telling you guys, but the league of assassins are out there.. which means.." Gar was interrupted by Veronica "Ra's al Ghul is back.." she spoke, thinking now why Jason was so worried about the whole situation.

"That said, maybe we should check out that explosion we just heard.." Rachel suggested, snapping them back to why they came here in the first place.

The explosion was heard underground, so they kept searching until they found a secret door leading them to a basement, they opened the door and looked at each other making sure they were ready to face whatever was down there.

They walked down the stairs, but heard silence, only a bright light shunned at the end letting them know they were at the right place as they got closer.

"Wait is that? Didn't you guys destroyed it?" Veronica spoke to Rachel who was still processing what she was seeing. "How? Kory and I destroyed it.."She responded looking at the Lazarus pit, now in its new location. "Look, there's the dagger." Veronica pointed to an object far away from the pit and went to grab it.

"Do you guys hear that?" Gar interrupted as he heard footsteps on the distance. " we should hide for now, we can't face anyone, not without knowing it's cause."  Rachel spoke as she grabbed both Gar and Veronica looking for a place to hide in the mean time, but as the footsteps got closer Gar spotted a door. "Let's go in there.." he pointed at the door besides the stairs, they quickly went in only to find the door was actually an exit.

"Jason?!" Veronica spoke as she saw Jason in his red hood suit, running towards them. "You guys should leave now, the league is here." He spoke with a hint of fatigue in his voice. "What about you?" Veronica asked but Jason being Jason, only told her to leave and he'd explain later. 

"Bullshit, you're coming with us." Veronica said grabbing his wrist. "Don't go in there alone.." she spoke once again, worried about anything happening to him again. "Who said I'll be going alone?" He responded. "The bat is on his way and Alfred is waiting for you guys not too far from here, it won't take long. Just go before the league finds us and the plan goes to shit." He spoke one last time letting go of Veronica's grip and entering the building.

"I'll go with him.." Gar spoke running to where Jason went. " We should leave now, they'll be fine!" Rachel spoke to Veronica who was still standing there thinking of going in or not. "Let's go.." Veronica responded leaving the scene with Rachel following behind.

They walked a few blocks away from where they were and found Alfred ready to open the car door for them.
