The amusement park was very much lively and jostling at this time of the year that you found it really hard to focus on one thing before the other. It wasn't the first amusement park you have ever been to, but it was definitely the largest. As you were standing in the line waiting to enter the haunted house with your friend, you saw something absolutely funny and... well, cute. It was a guy with a purple bear mask over his head. He was dressed normally, but it was just his mask that made him look peculiar. He went along the line trying to get girls to talk to him. You couldn't help chuckling to yourself, being some one who definitely appreciated those kind of things. Each girl he approached either snubbed him, or pretended he wasn't there. Even your friend shook her head when you pointed him out. You felt a little bad for him, so you decided to be the one to talk to him.
"Looking good," you winked at him as he approached you and you heard him laugh behind the mask.
"Thanks, no one will talk to me. I don't get it!" he said with a laugh.
You both laughed and your friend rolled her eyes at the two of you. After a little chat, you invited him to come with you into the haunted house.
"Sure, if you'll hold my hand," he teased.
"Aww, scared of the haunted house?" you teased back.
He shook his head, the mask shifting in a funny way. "No, I was hoping you would be," he said in a serious tone, but you couldn't be sure with his mask still on.
You bit your lip at his implication as you tried not to blush. "No, I'm not. But I'll hold it anyway." You tried to sound casual, but couldn't help the grin that appeared on your face. There was just something about him that you liked, though you couldn't exactly put your finger on it just yet.
When you entered the haunted house, you two held hands as you walked through the halls. Gory figures surrounded you, strange sounds came from every direction, and you could hear other people screaming at the top of their lungs. There were even peculiar things touching you at times, but you and the purple bear guy couldn't stop laughing. You couldn't figure why, but every time something really scary happened, it just seemed funny. At one point, someone in a zombie costume jumped out from behind. Both you and panda guy screamed and jumped out of his way. You clung to him, laughing, but you accidentally knocked off his mask.
Your eyes widened when you realized who he was. Even in the dark, you could see Xiumin smiling at you as his laughter died away on his lips. Your heart thumped when he leaned in and his lips brushed yours. Suddenly, your friend runs screaming like she'd just seen a ghost ~ wait, she probably did. You and Xiumin pulled part quickly and ran after her, chuckling at the funny look on her face. His hand never left yours.
