     Your friend Mina told you that she won't be joining you for lunch because she had to meet up with an old friend. Come lunch time, it was just you, Yejin, and Taehyung, a block mate of yours who just transferred ~ or so you thought. Just before you got to the stairs, you looked back and noticed that Taehyung was talking to three guys. One had white-blonde hair, one had brown, and the other had black. They seem to know each other and they look like good friends, so you and Yejin decided to wait for them to finish talking.

"I'm hungry," Yejin muttered when the boys' conversation was taking too long.
"And I'm starting to get pissed," you said darkly. You're not one to wait around and you kind of have a short fuse. You crossed your arms and started tapping your foot on the tiled floor, shooting daggers at the boys' general location.
"Yeah, me, too," Yejin agreed.

Finally, for what seemed like a long time, the boys walked over to your direction. You didn't want Taehyung to see how pissed you are ~ because he's a nice guy ~ so you turned your back on them and started walking down the flight of steps. When the six of you got out of the school gates, you turned to your friends and asked them where they wanted to eat. You arrived at McDonalds, but it was already full. You spent almost half an hour standing outside and talking about your choices of places to eat. While you were talking, the guy with white-blonde hair and the guy with brown hair were telling you not to feel awkward around them and they were trying to be friendly while their other friend ignored you. When you've decided where you guys wanted to eat, you parted ways with those other three boys.

"What was his name?" your friend whispered.
"Who?" you asked.
"The cute one with glasses," she clarified.
"Oh. I don't know," you said to her then asked Taehyung,"Hey, who was that guy with glasses?"
"Why? Do you like him?" he asked.
"No. She likes him. She thinks he's cute," you answered and pointed at your friend who was sitting beside you.
"What? No. Of course not," she denied.
"I'll tell Namjoon you like him," he joked.
"Anyway, who was that guy wearing a yellow shirt?" you asked just to divert Taehyung's attention towards you because you sensed that Yejin will be pretty pissed soon if Taehyung keeps making jokes like that.
"That was Jungkook. Why, you like him as well?" he asked.
"I think he's cute, but he's a snob," you told him. That Jungkook guy could have been your new crush, but you didn't like his attitude a while ago.
"He's always like that around new people," Taehyung told you. "Try being friends with him."

After eating your lunch, the three of you went back to school. You were standing near the Dean's office with Yejin and Mina while Taehyung and the three guys from lunch were talking just outside of your classroom. You were talking in hushed tones when your friends suddenly told you that Jungkook was looking your way. You caught his smile and turned away. There was something about that smile you didn't like. It was as if he knew something you didn't.

     The following days after your first encounter with Jungkook, you kept seeing him in the hallway, across the street, and inside the school cafeteria. You didn't know if it was your friends, or if it was just coincidence. There were times that Jungkook would stand outside of your classroom right where you can see him, and you would notice him looking at you. Sometimes, he would pass by while you're talking with your friends in the hallway. And even if your lunch breaks were different, you still see him in the cafeteria most of the time. You didn't know when, but along the way, you developed some kind of feeling for him that you couldn't explain. Your heart would beat twice as fast when you see him, and you couldn't help but look for him everywhere you go. Your friends noticed this, so they ~ Taehyung, especially ~ forced you to talk to him. You were hesitant at first, but when you got to talk to him, you thought that he was pretty sweet.
