A Great Friend

A Week after Xander and Gild became new members of the Lorkor Tribe things have been different for them. As they get to come and leave when ever they want but they have decided to stay in the village and make sure nothing bad happens to anyone.

One morning when Scarlett finished eating brakefast Gild went over to her and said. "Morning Scarlett, did you sleep well?" She gave him a small smile and said to her.

"I slept fine, Did you sleep well?" Gild nooded his head and said to her. "I slept okay... I just came over to ask You if You wanted to go for a walk and talk for a bit?"

Scarlett nooded her head and went with him out into the forest with the feeling of unease in her chest. They walked for awhile until Scarlett looked at her only friend from her time as a Royal Mage and said.

"What is it that you wish to talk about?" Gild looked at her and said with a thoughtful look on his face. "I just wanted to talk to you about the Emporor and that You're the true Ruler of Aredshiir..."

He paused for a momment before saying to her. "I still cant believe it... It was only months ago that You were sacrificing yourself for the same man who now wants to get You back.

And... I regret not telling You..." He stopped himself witch made Scarlett curious and said to him. "Tell me what?" He let out a small sigh and said to her.

"Do you remember the day we first meet?" Scarlett nooded her head and said with a calm look on her face. "Of course, You were the only one who were friendly to me."

He had a little smile on his face when She mentioned it and said. " I also remember you being so distrusting towards me, and I didnt know why back then.

But I understood once I told the news of your so called passing to Xander... I became so angry hearing the ill things they said about You. I mean, You're the most beautiful woman I ever meet and I fell in love with..."

Scarlett looked at him with a suprised look on his face and said. "What did you just say?" Xander began to blush a little and said to her. "Well... To be perfectly honest, I... I fell in love with you...

I been in love with you ever since that day five years ago. I wanted to tell You but I always stopped myself because I fear I would get rejected by You..."

Scarlett thought back to her time as a Royal Mage and how focused She was on the missions She would be asigned with. She looked at her friend and said with a thoughtful look on her face.

"Was it because I were working on so many missions?" He nooded his head and said to her. "Yes... I kept that feeling hidden for many years...

I understand if you dont feel the same way about me..." She looked at him for a few minutes before saying to him. "Gild... I had no idea You felt this way about me..."

Gild looked at her and said with a sad smile on his face. "Well, now You know... And seeing You happy with Volemìr and the Arkans, I..."

She interupted him and said with a small smile on her face. " I am glad that You came over to me that day or else I would have never have a great person as my Friend. I love You as my Friend..."

Gild looked at her with suprise then gave her a small smile and said. " I  want you to know that... No matter what happenes, I will always support and help You in keeping the Arkans from being slaughterd by some heartless humans.

And besides little Audra will have two amazing Uncles to welcome her into this world and will be showerd with so much love from her parents."

Scarlett kept smiling and was about to say something to him when an arrow struck his chest. He looked down at the arrow in shock and turned up to look at her before Scarlett caught him before he hit the ground.

She screamed out his name and begged him to stay with her as She held him in her arms. He looked at her with a fearful look in his eyes as he was dying and held her hand for comfurt.

He opend his mouth and said her name before he passed away in the arms of the woman he loved. Scarlett looked at Gild's limp body in horror as tears ran down her face.

She looked at the body for a few minutes until She heard foot steps on the left of her and saw the man who killed him. She looked at the beared man holding a crossbow as he looked at her with a emotionless expression on his face.

She felt anger boiling in her veins as She said to him screaming. "Why did you do that!?!? He was my friend!!!" The man looked at her and said without his expression changing.

"He was a traitor and a fool for not returning You back to Ardeshiir. The Emporor will pay handsomly for returning You to the palace."

Scarlett looked at him with rage as She said. "You bastard... I cut Your throat for killing Gild! You will suffer greatly for what You did!" The man didnt fear her threats about killing him and said to her.

"I like to see You try..." Scarlett went to grab Gild's knife from his belt and got knocked out by another man who were hiding in the shadows of the trees.

The other man who wears a bandana around his neck looked at her baby bump and said to the beared man. "How much does the Emporor give us when he sees that She's with child?"

The bearded man looked at him and said. "I think he will pay us even more when he discovers this, Let's take her back and remember handle her with care."

The man with the bandana began to tie Scarlett's hands and began to carry her in his arms as he said. "I know, now Let's go before those monsters realize their prisoner is gone..."

They quickly went to their wagon and left Gild's body to be eaten by maggots and wild animals. 

An hour went by and Voldmìr and the others searches for Scarlett and found the body og Gild. Xander has a look of horror on his face and said.

"Who could have done this?" Volemìr knelt next to Gild's body and pulled out the arrow looked at it before smelling the air around them.

He caught the faint sent of Scarlett and the men that took her and let out a angry growl then said. "Humans took her..." He then tossed the arrow aside and turned to Gild with a thoughtful expression on his face.

He let out a small sigh and gently closes Gild's eyes as he said. "We will get her back, You can rest easy knowing She will be back safe and sound..."

He then got up from the ground and turned to his men and said. "Ordo, Tera, find a place to bury Gild while me and the others go get Scarlett back."

Ordo and Tera nooded their heads and began to tend to Gild's body. while Volemìr and the others went after the men that took Scarlett.
