••••••••••••••••3rd person•••••••••••••••It is common knowledge that androids don't need sleep.. only to sometimes recharge. Yet somehow Y/N found herself simply standing at the police station finding it oddly difficult to stand. Her eyelids felt the need to close, and her body felt...
un-energetic.
She would never admit it to herself, she would make up excuses in her head. But deep down she had a terrible gut feeling ... that this sudden and rare "malfunction" was tiredness. She knew it because of one specific symptom of this malfunction.. and it was the way her thoughts felt heavy. Brought down by one specific memory.
Cold wet grass beneath her, freezing droplets of rain falling onto her hair and her back.. but warm hot breath covering her, and a piercing gaze.
Up until now she couldn't believe Connor would let a deviant escape so easily specially for something she was supposed to consider so unimportant as her well being was. Connor knew that if Y/N was damaged it wouldn't mean any significant losses, so it was completely irrational to even consider thinking about saving her before catching the deviant and yet somehow he had reached the conclusion that saving Y/N was a priority above catching this deviant.. above Connor's own mission.
Y/N once again would never admit it to herself, she probably hasn't even processed it that well.... But the fact Connor chose her "safety" above his mission..
It made her feel special.

Y/Ns POV•••We have been sitting here for disgustingly long hours. Not that I can complain but... it's starting to be.. inefficient, and unproductive. Does Hank know how to drive any faster?
"We are almost there. I'll get off and you two will stay here, got that?" Hank's voice interrupted. It took me some seconds to reply, "yes lieutenant"
Connor on the other hand fell.. silent.
"Understood?" Hank repeated this time turning to see Connor in the eye, his voice sounding more stern.
Connor inhaled, looking like he was about to sigh.
Connor sighing..?
—"yes Lieutenant"Hank nodded, finally getting to a stop and parking just next to some food truck, which apparently sold burgers, and after repeating for Connor to stay put he got out of the car and walked towards the truck.
.........
This is weird.. there's silence but.. there isn't silence in my head also. How?
Why am I suddenly so c-... so aware?
Connor saved me over his mission..
And still thinking about that?!Well not thinking.. not thinking. I am re-loading.. re-processing.
The image of it... why would he do that.. it's irrational-
Huh-?
"Wait-"
My hand suddenly moved to Connor's shoulder, as he was sitting infront of me and was about to leave the car. Didn't Hank say to stay put?
Somehow just decided to not question him.. at least not on that."Before you go-.... Uhm... why did you do.... that yesterday?"
Even my speech is malfunctioning now?!"What.. do you mean?" Isn't Connor supposed to be smart? Why have I got to spell everything out for him?
"Yesterday.. you-.. uhm.." I close my eyes trying to focus more. These malfunction have got to stop.
"When the car was about to hit me. You could've followed the Deviant but... you didn't.... Why?"
As he shifts to look me more in the eye I notice my hand is still on his shoulder. He stared at me.. looking... blank.
"You would've been hurt" he answered plainly.
".. But I can't hurt Connor"
"Well.. you've.. never actually been hurt before to be sure about that" he answered. Somehow, in his tone of voice I registered.. softness, and warmth. Warmth growing in my face.
I nodded as I leaned back, letting go of his shoulder as my palm felt cold where his body was at before.
Connor didn't say another word before leaving the car to talk to Hank.
...
These malfunctions need to stop happening.. sudden irrational re-loadings and re-processings of a random memory, detecting temperature and texture in voices, and having sudden troubles with keeping basic systems functioning like body temperature? This is too much. I must look into it.

I AM AAALLLIIIVEEE🤩🤩
I am really sorry to have dropped out on this story so suddenly, to the 400 people that read it, I apologize 😭😭 I don't really have any good excuse for this, I changed phones and forgot to download Wattpad again, until one day I found this story again and decided to re-take it, though I get it that the Detroit wave of it becoming viral is gone now I'll still try to finish this story now, and I'll do my best to not drop any of the effort which I had Been putting into it up until now. Also, I am sorry this is kind of a short chapter, the actual episode in the game of this part isn't that long either but after this I have some more character development planned for
Y/N as well as some cool action scenes. If anyone is reading, thank you so much for your time and attention, I hope you keep enjoying this story!
