Dipper's POV
I sighed and sat on top of the Mystery Shack. It was so dark, but it calmed me either way. The sky was full of beautiful shining stars. I take a moment to lay back against the roof, staring at the collection of constellations. My mind started to clear as I began to name the different ones I can spot.
This keeps me busy for a while, but it isn't helping. When there's a possibility of a certain Demon lurking these woods, of course I would be worried.
If Bill Cipher really was back, he'd be coming for us. Right? What about Bill's plan? He'd have no hesitation to kill us, not without getting entertained about it.
That would mean everyone from the Cipher Wheel. Mabel, Stan, Ford, Wendy, Robbie, Gideon, Pacifica, Fiddleford, Soos.. they would all die under his hand.
Maybe I shouldn't be up here. But, he can't get me, right? Maybe Ford isn't right..?
Maybe Bill's dead for good.
I peacefully let my thoughts wonder, as I stared up at the expanding sky above me.
Until, I heard that ridiculous, familiar voice.
"Heya Pinetree!"
No. No No.
I push myself back up, searching around. There was nothing around. Nobody else would call me that unless..
This can't be real. No, Dipper. Don't turn around. It isn't him it's just a nightmare I placed in my head. It's all in your head! He's dead! We made sure of that! But what if..
My tense shoulders stood still like the rest of my body. I couldn't make myself move. To say a word. I was just completely frozen in shock.
"B..B-Bill?" I muttered under my breath.
I heard him make a hysterically unbalanced laugh, however, he sounded different. I couldn't see him anywhere. It was pitch black out here!
I stand to my feet, my legs shaking in fear. Should I stay? Run? My legs wanted to run at this point, but something stirred in the pit of my stomach, urging me to follow.
"Where are you?! I can hear you!" I demanded.
I hear him laugh again. It felt closer..
"Well someone's excited to see me!" He replied.
A cold essence went through my body. I shivered at the feeling, holding my stance and whipping out the gun Ford gave me since he told me the news about Bill. I pointed it in all directions, checking behind me and even up in the trees. His faint glow should be noticeable! Where is he?!
"Shut it! Where are you?!" I yelled, waiting for a response.
If he was going to pop out from somewhere or try to scare me, I am completely ready to shoot that humorous eye off his face.
"Hey Pinetree! Let's not be hasty here! That's not a good way to greet an old friend.." He mused, a darkness coating his words.
This time felt- different. Something was wrong. I can feel it. The tone, the hesitation, the hiding. This almost felt..too real. Maybe he's being careful this time..
"You're not my friend. Just come out! How did you escape?! We got rid of you! How did you bend the rules?!" I shout, pointing my gun on one side and searching behind me.
"So many useless questions..can't I just be back without any reason? I missed you."
"I don't care! You always have a reason! If only you would stop being a coward and face me like the real demon you are!" I countered, gritting my teeth.
"You want to see me? First, you must do me a favor."
"Tsh. Like what?" I questioned, tightening my grip.
"Put the gun down." He states.
My hands shook. I breathe sharply, looking from side to side in thought. This is a horrible idea, but I should do what he wanted. Follow his plan for now at least. I have no other choice. My gun lowers and goes to my side, but I guard it with my life. It's my only chance to stand against him.
"It's down.." I say.
"One more thing. Come down off the roof right now." He urged.
My eyes widened.
"Why would I ever trust someone like you?!" I spat, placing one of my fingers on the trigger.
"Fair enough."
"But if you want to see me," his voice hitched and paused for a moment.
"You must get off the roof and find me yourself..think of this as a game of hide and seek.."
I hesitate for a moment. Was he down there? What is his plan? Is he tricking me?
"Are you down there?" I asked.
Moments of silence pass.
"Come and find out..."
I take a deep breath, making my way off the roof and sliding onto the grassy floor.
"Okay, I'm off the roof. Now show yourself!" I snapped back.
"Heh, alright just don't freak out." He hushed, and more silence filled my ears.
Out of the corner of my eye, the bushes started to move. I pointed my gun at the bush, taking a hesitate step back.
"Pinetree.." A voice whispered in my ear.
I froze in fear as two hands touched my shoulders from behind me. Before I could think, I turn and shoot whatever was there. My body falls on the floor and I scrambled back from him. Horror struck my face.
I missed. The bullet just grazed the tree. But, what struck me more was his noticeable appearance.
My eyes stared back at a tall man, with blond hair and a glowing yellow eye. The other was covered with a eyepatch. He wore a black and yellow jacket; a orange shirt underneath. He put his gloved hands on his sides, staring in amusement at me.
The thing that made me put the pieces together was that this person had a necklace which had a yellow triangle on it.
My mouth was agape in confusion and shock. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to say. But he looked hot. Wait-
