Luna had walked away from the commotion, she just felt incredibly stupid for acting the way she did. Victoria and the boys were so good for her for the past week she's been here but she was just acting ungrateful. She hadn't stopped walking since she left the house, she just had to take a breather outside. Luna planned to explore nature a bit and go back to the house after some time. Though some time turned into an hour already and she had no idea where she was. Luna thought the village they were in was small, though it wasn't at all.
The thing that frightened her most was the fact that it was almost night, the sky was turning darker by the minute. She had planned to ask someone along the way if they knew the way back to the house but the only people on the street were drunk men who were hanging around the pubs.
She got an unsettling feeling in her stomach as she walked past one of the pubs, the men staring her down. She didn't feel safe with all the eyes on her. She didn't take her phone with her, which was dumb of her.
"Hey lady, where are you going", she heard a guy ask her, clearly having had a beer or four. She ignored him and kept walking faster. Her dad had warned her for going outside on her own, the people on the streets sometimes had bad intentions.
She hadn't even told the others that she was gonna go for a walk, she was too angry to do that anyways. Now she was just scared.
"Hey! pretty lady, you ignoring us?", another guy slurred, the two of them laughing as Luna kept on walking faster and faster. Her eyes started to get teary, she hated how women would get objectified. It was starting to get darker and darker and colder, she wrapped her hands around herself as she finally couldn't see the pub anymore.
All the stores were closed already and she had no idea how she could reach any of the others back home. While walking down the streets, going even further from the house she heard heavy footsteps behind her. Picking up her phase again she heard the person behind her do the same.
Terror took over as she almost started running, the unknown figure behind her doing so too. She took a swift turn to the left, into a narrow street. It wasn't smart to do so because the figure caught up with her and took her by her arm. Terrified Luna looked up at the person, a drunk-looking guy with a terrible smile looked down at her. "What is such a pretty lady doing alone at this time huh", he asked her with a smug smile on his face.
Luna didn't answer, she could only think about how she could get rid of this guy. She remembered what her dad used to say to her and her sisters,
"If somebody grabs you, kick them down there, and especially if it's a guy. They'll most likely let go and if not, bite them in their arm", her dad said, Luna and Vic had laughed about it while Nica was grossed out, "Ewww".
Luna did exactly as her dad told her, she kicked him which made him groan and he let go of her arm. Luna didn't look back and ran down the streets as fast as she could, terrified of the guy who was following her. She found a dumpster around the corner and hid behind it, hoping he wouldn't see her there. "Where are you bitch!", he growled as he started to look around the street, she put her hands on her mouth so he couldn't hear her breathing.
He got closer and closer, Luna started to cry thinking this was going to be the end of her. He got to the dumpster and before Luna could run away he made her trip with his leg. She fell to the concrete, letting out a wince as she scrapped her arms, head, and legs on the floor.
She was so scared of this huge guy standing over her she didn't notice the car next to them pulling up. "You're going to pay little bitch", he smiled as he was about to throw a punch, Luna closed her eyes but the punch never came. Instead, she heard the heavy footsteps run away again. It all stayed black for a little longer, she didn't want to open her eyes worried that the guy was still standing there.
She finally got back to reality when she felt someone gently touch her, "Luna, it's me Vic", she heard her sister's voice say, Luna, let out a cry of relief. She opened her eyes and was met with Vic hovering over her, "It's alright, we're here now".
Luna looked to her left as she saw Ethan and Damiano walking up to them, "Son of a bitch ran away", Damiano said angrily but his face immediately softened when he saw Vic and Luna still on the ground. "Are you alright", Ethan asked, Luna felt anything but alright but she just shrugged.
"Can you stand?", Vic asked her but before she could answer Damiano put his hands under her legs and arms and lifted her. "Vic get the car door please", he said and Vic nodded, opening the door so they could sit. Luna was resting her head against Vic's shoulder in the backseat while Damiano and Ethan sat in front. She could tell they were all worried and it made Luna feel guilty.
Then she also remembered the fight she had earlier with Vic, "I'm sorry", she said. Vic put her arm around Luna, "I'm sorry too, I shouldn't force you to do anything you don't want to", she answered back, though Luna wasn't convinced, "You only want what's best for me Vic, I understand".
Damiano and Ethan were looking at each other, happy that the two sisters were okay again. "Don't ever do that again, you scared me to death", Vic let out. Luna nodded, embracing Vic in a hug,
"I won't, I promise".
