Alex was jealous of a stupid sloth the one she happened to win for the blonde she was always cuddling with him he took up half the bed Alex at one point had half the mind to sell him to the owner of the building but thinking about the wrath that came from the blonde she didn't want to.

"Why'd you name him Carter again?" The blonde shrugs "I like the name sounds good" Alex snorts "yeah Carter the sloth" the blonde hums arms wrapping around the fluffy animal "so..when will I be the main teddy bear again?" Cat rolls her eyes fondly "firstly he's a sloth secondly your my favorite person to cuddle with."

Alex pouts "doesn't look like it" blue eyes are amused "can you let me have my moment? Carter doesn't complain" Alex whines "he's a stuffed animal Cat!" The blonde laughs letting him go and climbing into Alex's lap head tucked into her shoulder and Alex wraps her arms around her.

"Oh before I forget" Alex hums and Cat sits up looking into brown eyes "I got a callback yesterday about the house" Alex's eyes light up and Cat's hands that are resting on her shoulders pat them one after the other "you got the house?" Cat nods "I got the house" Alex is buzzing with excitement.

"We have to have a housewarming party!" Cat gives her a look "please Kit Kat?" She pouts with the puppy eyes and Cat lets a big grin pull over her face "sure" Alex is up in seconds Cat firmly in her hold the blonde was still startled even if Alex did it all the time she was never ready for it "we have to call J'onn- and Kelly! I hear Nias good at cakes."

Cat looks at Alex arms around her neck "you gonna put me down?" Alex's face turns serious "did I say I was gonna put you down? You did hear the WE part right?" Cat nods and Alex beams "good because Carter shall not have you till we- unless I'm gone" Cat chuckles hanging on for the ride as they make their way to her bedroom so Alex can grab her phone iPad and computer.

"Okay so..alcohol?" Cat puts that as an okay "only wine and fruity drinks though" Alex nods chin on her shoulder "food?" The blonde asks "we can order from Chrissy's" she shrugs and Cat nods "we have to invite her to so doing it on a night she's off" Alex adds and Cat chuckles "alright darling."

"Alex?" It's been maybe a few hours and Cat decided it was getting late "how about we take a break? Order some food? Pick it up tomorrow" Alex nods "Thai?" Cat nods grabbing her phone as Alex grabs the remote turning the tv on.

"There's this old movie on Netflix I found and there's a blonde woman with blue eyes and she reminds me of you can we watch it?" Cat nods dialing the number for the Thai place barely paying attention to the other woman as she decides between two of her favorites in her head.

"Alright and this is yours? Built from the ground up?" A man asks from behind the camera the blonde nods "yes well not everyone is depended on dear old mommy's bank account"

Cat's eyes snap up

"And who are you? For the camera" the woman flashes a smirk and looks at the camera over her shades "I'm Catherine Jane Grant of course"

"How did you find this?" She hisses pulling the phone away from her ear to glare at Alex who wears a cheeky grin "hello? Ma'am are you still there?" Cat looks to the phone then to Alex before putting back to her ear "yes I'm still here how much did you say?"

As soon as Cat hangs up she's glaring at the tv at Alex at anything "it came out a few years ago and I'd heard they wanted to make another one so I decided to look your name up since I didn't know of a first one and this is what I found" Cat leans back into Alex's chest eyeing her younger self.

"So how did you feel about your rival Lois Lane trying to get a story about our newest hero" Cat swivels around in her chair from she had been looking at the TVs the news all about their new mystery hero who she planned on keeping as hers, "I say she should keep her reigns on her deer over there because Supergirl is ours."

Cat snorts "who was she Santa clause?" Alex smiles against her hair "you said it" the brunette chuckles "yeah well not all of my remarks were spot on then" she says with a smile.

They were twenty minutes in when someone knocked on the door Alex pauses the tv moving out from under Cat to get the door grabbing her wallet on the way the blonde watches over the back of the couch stealing a glance at the clock which it was three minutes to nine.

Alex closes the door bidding the man a goodnight "did you want something to drink?" Alex asks putting the food on the kitchen counter "did you happen to buy any lemonade when you went to the store?" The brunette nods "that would be nice then" Alex grabs two cups from the cabinet filling them both with lemonade.

"Thank you, dear" the blonde takes the drink along with her container of food Alex grins sitting back down on the couch unpausing the tv "your welcome," she says just as the tv cuts to another year with an older Cat "hey it's me!" Cat looks to Alex she points to herself with a childlike excitement "wow I miss the DEO uniform" she sighs.

"What were you two doing anyway?" Alex chuckles sheepishly "Winn and I had accidentally blew up the lab at the DEO doing an experiment so we stole a truck and were on the run from J'onn in which- see right there he's actually trying to shoot the tires out" Cat smiles in amusement "you were wild from all the videos I'd seen and this I can't say I'm surprised."

Alex is draped across Cat's lap reminding the blonde of a clingy dog almost with the puppy eyes and whines her clinging to Cat's waist it was adorable of course she wouldn't admit it "tired?" She brushes the hair out of the woman's face and brown eyes lazily blink and instead of turning her head to look up brown orbs slide to the corner of Alex's eye "creepy.." she murmurs "meanie" Cat rolls her eyes with a smile forming "get up we're going to bed."
