(A wholesome image at the top before we get into it)
Welp. Here we go! Let's see how the "King of good ideas"s plan worked this time eh? The title applies to just about everyone in this chapter tho-
_______________________________Germany's POV:
I step into the room. Very self conscious of my breathing. I can't make a sound. "Ok. So, because you can change form again, I will need to take a look at your body for any form of recognition and just to see the...damage. And then after that, I will check out what happened with your wings," Egypt explained. Seems simple enough."Yep. Sounds great." My dad said with a strained tone. "You're shaking." Egypt said. "Yeah. Wonder why." He said. "You're going to be fine." She says. "says the woman you grabbed me by the wrist, drugged me through the entire hospital, threw me on the ground, and then yelled at me and called me the name we don't speak, all because I couldn't do magic!" He yelled back.
JE gripped his hand and he jolted a bit. But almost immediately calmed back down. Interesting. "It's not my fault you can't handle your own name." She said. "You know what." He started. Oh god. "You are absolutely right! I can't handle my own name! But do you really expect me to? How come everyone else gets to pick what they go by but I can't?" He asked. That's a fair question now that I think about it.
I for one know for a fact that the name has become an insult of sorts. People have been talking about him more since his return, and always call him that with an odd tone in their voice. It's an odd concept to think about. How we can insult each other with our own names and then turn around and say that it's not an insult because it's their name. People are weird.
"Well. I'm just giving you some respect. Calling someone a number feels wrong." She said. "Ah yes. You were simply giving me respect. When you threw me on the ground for shit I can't control. Optimum respect there. Thanks." He said glaring at her. That's what I just thought about. "Also. Why is the number thing bothering you so much anyways? Does my parent not count here or something?" He said. That's also fair. No one calls him German Empire unless they're mad at him but have to be formal.
Britain must have really been pissed off then.
"And besides. Three is a great number. It's the strongest number. All the best things come in groups of three. The universe runs off of the number three. It's the base of circles. It's a nice number." He said matter-of-factly. "Your brain works very oddly." Egypt said. "Figure that out all by yourself there genius?" He said sarcastically. "赤ちゃん, calm down. It's ok." JE said to my father.
Did. Did JE just..? I know my Japanese is rusty. But doesn't Akachyan mean- "let's just move on. Take off your shirt." Egypt said. "That still sounds weird..." my dad mumbles. He took a breath and began to undo the buttons on his shirt. JE moved her hand to his back and began to slow her breathing. Soon my father matched her breathing. Man, these two have the friendship of the century. They don't even need to talk.
He finished unbuttoning it and he took a deep breath. Then he took it off. Have you ever felt like you saw something you weren't supposed to see? Because I'm feeling that at the moment. "S- Soviet. Can you go." He asked with an airy breath. "Of course." Soviet said. And he got up and left the room. Walking right past me. He stopped as he did so. He felt me. Then he shook his head and walked out. Thank god.
When I looked back I looked at him. Why is he so scared to show his chest? I walk closer to him. There were scars everywhere. Surgical scars. Puncture wounds on his arms. And a few burns that scarred over. One on his neck, it looked recent. And a few others on his sides and stomach. He looks beat to hell. I don't remember him looking like that.
Egypt began to look him over and my father held his breath and shut his eyes closed. Why is he so scared? "Red dear, why don't you just let the body sleep a little. That way you won't have to be awake for this, yes?" JE suggested. Oh yeah, there's two of them. Almost forgot that part. "Yeah. About that." He said. JE sighed. "What did you horribly time this time?" JE asked. "I may or may not have purposely placed my deep sleep so I will immediately clock out after this appointment." He said. "So the next time you fall asleep-" she started. "I'm not coming out of it for the next 14 to 18 hours." He said with a sheepish smile.
"I love you. You know that." JE said. "I know. Sorry. I didn't think it through that well." He said. An apology. Huh. "It's ok. Just, stay calm." She said. He nodded and their attention went back to Egypt.
Reds POV:
This is already nerve wracking enough. Now I'm paranoid too? I didn't ask for this! I already have to deal with being shirtless and having Egypt do who knows what to me. But now I feel like someone is staring at me. I thought it was Soviet. But I guess it wasn't. How am I supposed to stay calm JE!? There is nothing there, idiot. Just calm down. Your brain is making it up because you are nervous. Just take deep breaths and it will go away.Soviets POV:
I was asked to exit and I shal. JE is there to help. As I step out of the room I feel something. Someone. But. Who would that be anyways? They would have to get past security to even be in here. Must have been the AC making a chill or something.I shrug it off and leave the room. To see, Britain? "Oh you are here already?" I asked. "Yes I am." He said. "I thought you were going to wait in the entrance hall?" I question. "Me and Germany came through." He said. I look around. "Where is Germany then?" I asked. "Inside." He said. I stop. "How?" I asked. "Ghost." He said. "Britain...one of his abilities is to sense people's presence." I say.
"What?" He asked me. "He knows he's in there Britain!" I yell. "Oh no! I didn't know that!" He yelled. "Well great! Now what!?" I yelled.
Germany's POV:
He was asked to open his wings. When he did they looks so messed up. Very clean, but in shambles. They need a lot of work. I step behind him to get a closer look at them. Shimmering and black as night. "Ok, I need you to open them." Egypt said. "I. I can't move them." He said with strain. I look at his face. He's crying. He is in so much pain. By simply having them there?"Well then shut them for now. I'll get you some local anesthesia for the pain." Egypt said. He shut his wings quickly. But the pain didn't leave his face. It persisted. He began to breathe oddly and twitch randomly. Keeping his eyes shut tightly. Holding his arms over his chest, like a last attempt of modesty.
"While I'm setting up the shots, do you mind if I ask you something?" Egypt asked. He simply nodded in return. "You don't seem to have any physical sign of gender. A sex if you will. Can I ask more about that?" She continued. He said yes. That means you don't ask the damn question. He said no this time. Meaning she should shut up. The twitching worsened.I think he's about to go off on someone. And I'm not letting it be me. So I walk to stand next to the door again.
"Why didn't you persist with changing your body? Most people do it. Why didn't you? Or did you and I just can't see that?" She asked. JE was doing the best she could. But I need to go. I don't want to be in here if he gets violent. And he probably will.
She came back over with a tray of multiple shots. Shots of anaesthesia. "Ok. Open your wings." She said. He shook his head quickly. He was gripping himself so tightly I could see blood start to collect near his fingernails. "Egypt please-" JE started. "Come on. Why are you scared now? Just do it ok. Or I'll have to put all this anesthesia somewhere else." She said. A threat. We're done. She really just threatened him.
A few seconds pass. "Ok then." Egypt says. Then goes to grab his leg. He shoved her back, and jumped off the examination table with his shirt still around his waist. "GEH WEG VON MIR!" Was all he yelled as he ran to the door. He swung it open and ran down the hall. Not noticing anyone was out there. We all sat there in silence for a second.
He. He ran away. He didn't fight? Why didn't he fight? "What the hell?!" I hear. I turn and I'm making eye contact with JE. Oh shit. Britain lost control of the spell when Third ran out, didn't he. Well fuck. I'm screwed now.
