Chapter 8| He's not my boyfriend

3rd person POV:
'She was nice' Mabel thought bursting through her bedroom door.
She chucked her tote bag on her bed then jumped on right after.

"Shit what do I say?" She said to herself
"Alright let's just call him in hopes that it won't be awkward" Mabel said scrolling down her Snapchat. Bingo. 'Jay' it read.

"Hello" He answered the call
"Oh uhm,hey Jay! I was wondering when you wanted your books?" Mabel replied trying to be as less awkward as possible
"Oh anytime don't worry about it. We could meet up this week or next??" He responded
"Yeah sure,I'm free next week I think"
"Awesome! What day cause I don't think I can come out Tuesday?"
"Thursday?" Mabel asked
"Yeah sure! We'll meet at the library and this time I'll buy you food" Jay said chuckling
"Okay I'll see-"
"Mabel! Mabel! Mabel!" Hazel ran into her room
"Jesus Christ Hazel!" Mabel said holder her heart as jay just laughed from the phone.
"Mabel! Guess what" Hazel squealed in excitement
"What's up?"
"Me and daddy went shopping for your birthday!!" She replied even more excited
"Oh really? What did you get me?" Mabel said a small smirk present on her face
"That would ruin it! It's a secret" Hazel pouted
"Okay I'm sorry Haze" Mabel replied
"Also daddy brought dinner it's downstairs he said to come down" Hazel said jumping down from Mabel's bed.
"Okay I'll be down in a minute" Mabel replied
"Okay!!" Her younger sister said before rushing out of the room as Mabel chuckled.
"It's your birthday?" Jay asked
"Not right now but yes,I'm turning 18 next month" She replied
"Oh cool,what day" Jay asked
"12th of August" Mabel replied
"Okay,who was that?" Jay asked taking a mental note of Mabel's birthday.
"Oh that's my younger sister Hazel,I would introduce you but she seems a little to excited" Mabel chuckled answering Jays question.
"Oh cool,I've got a brother,Noah"
"No way,I've got a brother too,he's called Mason" Mabel said
"That's awe-"
"Why you talking about me,hm?" Mason barged in
"What is it and why is no one knocking on my door?" Mabel said slightly annoyed
"Well I was about to knock till I heard my name,who's that?" Mason asked jumping next to Mabel on her bed
"Don't jump on my bed you'll break it,anyway what do you want" she asked
"Dad told me to tell you to come down and eat,now who's this?"
"None of your business,I'll be down in a minute" Mabel responded
"K,it sound like a boy tho,no boyfriends until I meet them"
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"Mhm sure,say goodbye dinner's ready!" Mason replied
"Give a girl two minutes jeez,anyway why don't you just go back to your girlfriend already she's probably bored?" Mabel asked
"1 she's not my girlfriend,2 she left already,3 hurry up" Mason said walking out the room.
Mabel sighs as she hears her bedroom door close
"Well that was Mason.." Mabel told Jay
"Stop talking about me to your boyfriend!" Mason shouted from downstairs
"He's not my boyfriend oh my god!" Mabel shouted back as Jay laughed and said
"You can go eat Mabel we've sorted out a day to meet,go eat you dinner with your family"
"Alright,I'll see you on Thursday" Mabel said with a smile
"Yeah see you Thursday,bye Mabel" Jay replied
"Bye" she said before hanging up and placing her phone on her bed
"Mabel come eat!" Mabel's dad shouted
"Coming!" She said.

I'm so sorry I took so long to update,I had no ideas for this chapter and school has just started again so I didn't have time to write but hopefully this chapter was okay
