Chapter 3| See you at the game

3rd person POV:

It's period 3 on the last day of year 12 for Mabel and Maddi and they're going home two hours early. Mabel had to get home quickly to change and get to her brother Mason's basketball game as she had promised him she would be there.

"Bye Mads! See you at the game!" Mabel said before running into her house to change. She decided on wearing:

And left the house as fast as she could.

When she entered the basketball court Mason waved her over.
"You made it!" He said ruffling her hair a little
"Of course I did,I finished early" she replied fixing her hair a bit
"Where's dad and Hazel??" She asked skimming the crowd
"Over there" Mason pointed
"Okay,I'm going to sit with them and save a seat for Maddi. Good luck" Mabel said and smiled before walking of to her dad and sister.
"Mabel!" Hazel said in excitement
"Aw,hey hazel" she said sitting down
"Hey sunshine,how was school??" Her father asked
"Meh,your standard boring day" Mabel replied grabbing her phone out of the shoulder bag
"Well no more school!" Mabel's dad said
"Yeah" Mabel said with a smile messaging Maddi on when she would get here.
"Stay with Hazel will you? I'm going to talk with the team" Mabel's father said before kissing both his daughters on the head and walking towards the court.

15 minutes into the Basketball game and no sign of Maddi,Mabel was getting worried as Maddi was never late.

20 minutes,30 minutes,40 minutes still no sign of her.

The whistle blew indicating half time
"Mabel where's Maddi?" Hazel asked
"Not sure Haze,I'll message her" Mabel replied
"Okay" She replied with a smile showing her dimples. Mabel kisses Hazel on the cheek before giving Maddi a message.

Mabel- Mads where are you it's half time??

Maddi-WHAT OMG IM SO SORRY!!! My mum took me out for food as my uncle came round for the week. I'll be right there😅xx

Mabel-haha no probs see you soon 🤦‍♀️xx

Knowing Maddi was on her way Mabel got up with Hazel in hand and walked over to Mason who was talking with the coach.
"Okay sir" Mason said before walking over to Mabel and Hazel
"Your winning!" Hazel said with excitement
"Yeah it's a good game so far" he said then drank from his bottle.
"Yeah for sure" Mabel said with a smile
"Yup,Maddi still not here??" He asked
"Nah but she's on her way now" Mabel replied
"Ahhhh okay,well see you later games about to start" Mason said to Mabel then ran onto the pitch.
"Good luck!" Mabel shouted to him,
"Bye Mason!" Hazel shouted a little quieter than Mabel and Mason made a heart shape,with his hands to Hazel as a reply.

10 minutes into the second half Maddi finally made her entrance.
"Girl where we're you?" Mabel whispered as she sat down,
"Traffic im actually so sorry Ive missed so much" She said between breathes
"Hey Hazel" Maddi smiles at the young girl
"Maddi!!" Hazel said hugging her sisters friends leg whilst she walked past. Maddi chuckled then sat next to Mabel.
"Still got half an hour left don't worry bout it" Mabel nudged her shoulder and they started watching the game.

After the game

"Yes congrats you guys on the win!!" Maddi said walking over to Mason's team with Mabel
"Yeah congrats you guys played well!" Mabel said passing Mason his water bottle
"I agree with the girls. Congrats you guys, I taught you well" Coach Chris said-who is also Mason,Mabel's and Hazel's father- and everyone burst out laughing.
