Chapter 24

We walked for miles, but in the end it was worth it. As we made it to the shore. "Oh my", Fru-Fru said. "I mean, I've done some amazing stuff myself having survived out here for this long". "But I never thought anyone would been able to get stranded on an island, and then make it all the way to the other side". "Well, we did", I replied. "And to think", Frankie said. "We might go down in history for this". "Going down in history", Cleo said to herself. "I suppose that's worth all I've been through this week". Then Draculaura gasped. "Ghouls look". We looked where she was pointing, and in the distance on the water of the ocean, was a ship. "Oh my goodness", Frankie said in excitement. Then, I loaded the flair gun with my final flair, and fired.

The ships captain saw a flair flying into the sky. He looked over, and saw an island. He took a look at his map. This island wasn't shown on his map. So he got on the radio. "Headquarters this SSS Ice Whale, making a special report", he said. "Copy SSS Ice Whale, what's your status", headquarters replied. "There's a flair being shot from an island that's not on my maps", the captain reported. "An island", headquarters asked. "Yeah, and it seems like someone might need help, so I'm asking permission to land and pick these folks up", the captain replied. "Copy, give us your coordinates and be sure to head back to the mainland when your finished", headquarters replied. "Copy that headquarters", the captain replied.

"Ghouls look", Lagoona said in excitement. There it was, the ship was coming, and we were finally home free. "Fru-Fru, isn't this amazing", I asked. I heard her begin to cry. "Fru-Fru, are you ok", I asked. "It's just that", she replied. "I never thought this day would come". "Plus, what am I going to do with my life". "My parents are gone, I don't have a home, I have nothing", she explained. "But you've got your heart", I told her. "The heart that told you to help us", I explained. "And don't you worry about your parents, because remember, they'll always be a part of you", I told her. "And to think, I can help you get your life on track", I told her just as the boat docked. Someone then stepped out to meet us. "Are you the ones who shot that flair", he asked. "Indeed", I answered. "I'm Clawdeen Wolf, and these are my friends". "Quite the little group here", he answered. "I'm Jon Voight, captain of this boat. I could smell his werewolf scent in tropical breeze. And I could also see his fur-like hair, and his ears. As for his other features, he wore boat captain attire, had white skin, red eyes and grey hair. "And, if you all want off this island, I suggest you get aboard", he said. "Because headquarters has asked me to go back to the mainland". "Well then", I said excitedly. "All ghouls aboard".
