Kat opened her eyes. She had a massive headache.
She looked around. It seemed as though... some sort of- forcefield... was making sure she didn't escape.
Kat was in a rather small room with no furniture whatsoever. She was still a human, no longer a Feizao.
She most definitely wasn't in Laminax Labs.
Kat got up. She had been laying down on the floor, passed out. Beyond the forcefield were white walls and floor, with a few chairs and furniture here and there. She didn't see anybody... Not Chelsea, not Joe, not even that weird holo-colored-hair person she saw last time. "Hello?" She echoed. No response. There was a stunning chill of quiet in the air.
Kat went over to the barrier, touching it. She screeched and jumped back. It hurt like hell.
She curled up. Seeing the room, she couldn't exactly do much. Kat just had to wait until something happened, or someone came into the room.
Literal hours passed by. It was much more boring than Kat had thought.
She proceeded to lay on her back and tap her shoes on the ground. It really was boring.
It seemed as though it had been almost a day when she heard yelling somewhere outside the room. She looked over toward the door in the white room.
The door had a little window slit that she could just barely see out of.
Her eyes widened as she saw two people carrying a very angry Chelsea.
"CHELSEA!" Kat yelled, but it was like the door was soundproof. Kat started to panic. Why had they taken Chelsea, too? Was it Kat's fault? And did they take Joe, too?!
After more hours, it was really quiet. But then she heard a word, not in the room, but somewhere close.
"Is anyone there!?" Kat then recognized the voice. It was Chelsea! Maybe the doors weren't soundproof!
"Chelsea? Is that you?" She asked. It was weird talking to a literal wall.
"KAT?!" Chelsea's voice said. "OH MY GOD IT'S YOU- ARE YOU ALRIGHT? WHAT HAPPENED?"
"Well..." Kat said. "This person kind of turned me into a human again- And uh. Kidnapped me. What about you?" She asked.
"We were looking for you and heard something in the Cafe. Nobody was there, so we all left. I stayed though, just in case. Not sure if it was a bad or good choice. I mean, finding you is great. Being kidnapped? Not so great."
Kat sighed. "Did you see Joe being taken too? Or...?"
"No. Again, not sure if that's good or bad," Chelsea said.
"Yeah... It's really confusing. I was waiting here for literal hours and nothing happened. At least now I have company." Kat responded, continuing to tap the ends of her shoes on the ground.
A few hours passed as basically nothing happened, other than of course Kat and Chelsea chatting a bit to pass the time.
Kat got up and started pacing around, thinking. Why were they being held here? Who was that person with the weird spider legs?
Where WERE they?
Her thoughts were broken as the spider-legged, holo-color-haired piece of shit came into the room, holding a clipboard.
"HEY! YOU!" She yelped, and he basically jumped out of his skin.
"Oh dear- They can talk-" He half mumbled. "Er, Hello there, I'm Dr. Warren, but you could just call me Warren." He said, oddly friendly.
"Why are we here!? What is this place?!" Kat said, clearly frantic, and rightfully so.
"This is Helix labs, and you are here because you and your sister Chelsea are prime candidates for just a few.... 'minor,' experiments. Unfortunately, you both were not willing, so we had to take you here by force." Warren said.
"WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE DON'T WANNA BE HERE, HM?" Kat said.
"What are you going to do to us? What do you mean by 'minor experiments'?" Chelsea chimed in.
"Let's just say... you won't remember it, kay? So you don't have to worry." Warren said.
"Look me in my GOD DAMN EYES and tell me I don't have to worry, you suspicious bastard," Kat said, coming right up to the Barrier. She was tempted to punch it but the last time she tried it did not end well. Warren left without responding. Minutes later Kat heard Chelsea screeching. "HEY! LET GO OF ME-" Chelsea's voice yelled, and heavy footsteps were heard.
"CHELSEA?!" Kat echoed.
There was no answer.
After another hour of yelling, Kat finally gave up and sat on the floor. Was Chelsea okay? What happened? What kind of experiments were they doing on her? Kat got up again and began pacing. Chelsea was in serious danger and Kat could do NOTHING about it. She felt more useless than she ever had been in her entire life.
Soon enough Warren and a few security guards came into the room. Kat stopped pacing and faced them. The barrier went down and Kat realized the guards were holding the same neck tighteners as the ones at Laminax Labs. She soon realized what was going to happen and the guards tightened it around her neck. She didn't try to struggle. Maybe she could be able to see Chelsea.
If she was even alive.
Kat shook her head. Don't let the bad thoughts get through.
As they took her through a white hallway, a few scientists passed by. Finally, after about 6 minutes of walking, they reached a very odd room. It had white counters with a TON, and I mean a TON of glass bottles, chemical mixtures, and other sorts of needles. Kat felt mentally terrified. She was going to die here. She knew it.
There was a smaller, separate room leading off from this one that had a medical bed and a table full of medical equipment, but she also noticed a few chemical mixtures, a bit different from the ones in the other room.
As she was brought to the medical bed, her thoughts were erratic. Where was Chelsea? Why was this happening to them? Is Joe okay? What's going on in Laminax Labs?
Is she going to die?
