Kat gasped, falling out of the broken tube. Blue liquid spilled onto the floor as she tried to stand up. She didn't feel normal. She felt... Different.

Kat looked down at her hands- . . . claws?

She looked to the left to see a mirror that just so happened to be there... uncannily.

Kat no longer looked human nor Gootraxian. She appeared to be made out of a pitch-black colored fire, and her face... she had no eyes, just a red ragged mouth that she could somehow see out of. She had black-faded-to-red horns, hands, wings, and a tail. She kind of looked like a demon.

"What...?" Kat murmured under her breath. She realized immediately that she needed to get out of here, wherever she was... wait, actually... what... What was she doing here? Can't... remember...

Kat shook it off and headed for the nearest door. The door was automatic, so it opened immediately. She was now standing in a room that looked like a meeting room, but red lights were blaring; an emergency alarm.

Kat ran toward the next door and immediately stopped when it opened.

In front of her was a platform that was attached to the absolutely enormous building she was in. At the edge of the platform was a 40-story plummet to the ground. Kat could hear yelling in the other room that she assumed were security guards. She needed to JUMP.

Kat ran as fast as she could to the edge of the platform, making a leap of faith off of it. She tried to flap her wings, but it didn't work- she needed a less stressful situation to get a hang of these weird demon-like wings.

Kat instead flung her wings out as far as she could, and she began gliding. It didn't take too long to get to the bottom of the building. She landed carefully, folding her wings back.

Kat looked around to see a large city surrounding a park with a statue of someone with a cape. It was daytime at the moment, but nobody seemed to be out walking around. Other than...

She looked over to the statue, and there seemed to be a black-haired man leaning against the cold stone. He was wearing a pair of circular sunglasses. Kat walked over to him. "Um... Hello? Do you know where I am?" She asked as she approached the man cautiously.

He looked up at her. "You not from here or something? Or you might be, people are really weird here..." He asked, not answering Kat.

Kat pointed up at the building. "I woke up in there..."

"Oh, are you saying that you are one of ANINA's experiments? Actually, I'm not surprised... 𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘵𝘰𝘰..." He said, crossing his arms. "You know, people like us are s'posed to take care of each other, y'know? I can take you to a safe place, away from ANINA for a while."

"Yes, please... I just need to gather myself, um... I'm Kat, what's your name?" Kat asked, a bit suspicious of him.

"You can call me Hypno, dear." As he said this, he took his sunglasses and put them on his head. Kat was shocked for a minute after seeing his eyes.

His eyes were swirls that turned infinitely. The swirls changed color rainbow style.

"Woah... What happened to you?" Kat asked, clearly taken aback. "Eh, I was just born this way. A lot of people in this city are weird like me. Most of us have abilities... or curses." Hypno replied. He took a step away from the statue and toward Kat. Hypno held his hand out to her.

Kat nodded slightly, taking his hand.
