Three years of arguments... Darkstalker is older and better now. Of course, though, he's now fast asleep.
He and Foeslayer, as well as Whiteout, Arctic, and Leshy when the mother-and-son duo returned, have been gathering scrolls and ink, with Darkstalker also wanting a few accessories for Clearsight. After all, tonight will be the night. He, his sister, and his friend will be attending school. He'll meet Clearsight. He, admittedly, doesn't know all the details. Leshy probably does and Clearsight definitely will. What he does know about the coming night, though, he has already made quick, mental notes, neatly organized for himself and locked down from any other mind-readers who would laugh if they knew just how nervous the animus really was about today. He had been thinking all the way until noon until he passed out against his mom's side and was carried into his room by her.
He had considered the fact that, since it's already a known fact that he has animus magic, he could enchant... for instance, the flowers to appear as whatever the one viewing them would enjoy most, but he had thought better of it. After all, Arctic might be mean to him and Foeslayer and Darkstalker can clearly see all the problems, but there is one point that the prince had made sure got through to him: He always has to fear for his soul and not abuse his magic, otherwise, he'd turn out just like his father if not worse. The main reason Darkstalker paid attention to that argument is that it's rare for his father to admit that he did something bad, but that was one time he had, and had been completely serious.
Him staying up all morning must've caused him to be delirious as his dreams... were not normal by any stretch of the imagination. He still remembers Whiteout crying, not long after they were good enough at flying to not need to be constantly watched, about something scary she saw in a dream. Arctic had, when he heard, immediately mentioned that the strange, half-dead dragon that had scared her was a SkyWing, a tribe that fears dragons with any special quality... enough to chuck them off a cliff. Darkstalker got mad at Arctic for hinting that a tribe would immediately throw him and his sister to their deaths, which the IceWing quickly apologized to Whiteout for (not Darkstalker, just Whiteout). Arctic also mentioned that he had met Prince Albatross once during a trade negotiation, though Diamond and the SeaWing queen, Albatross's sister, did most of the talking. Albatross had seemed friendly in Arctic's eyes at the time, the IceWing had mentioned.
In his dreams, he was in a long corridor filled with paintings that were much better than Whiteout's and the art style was clearly not hers, which meant the art pieces simply can't exist. After all, as far as Darkstalker is concerned, Whiteout is the best painter in Pyrrhia despite her young age. No one can possibly be better than her.
He walks around and notices that they all depicted him, and in all the paintings but one where he's writing in a scroll, he's doing something so horrific that it can't possibly be something he'd do. He hears someone approaching. They were... banging logs against the ground? He turns around to see a dragon that looks a bit like Leshy, except without any sign of being half-NightWing. The other dragonet appears to be the same age he is but radiates the idea that he is far older and wiser than his age may suggest... like he's even seen what the world was like before even the Scorching... a topic that Darkstalker wanted to learn about but could never find any scrolls on the events before then. He was mostly red with small hints of white and his wings. Instead of looking like a single pair of leaves like Leshy's (once the tiny ones had fallen out), his wings look like a huge amount of petals, all of them various shades of red but predominantly whites and pinks. The strange thing is that he sounds like he's tapping with something wood, but there isn't even a hint of any wooden thing on him.
"Hello, Darkstalker. Nice to see you here," the strange dragonet says in greeting (when Darkstalker would wake up, he would realize that there should've been no way the dragon could've known his name). "You may not know me, but my name is Sakura, but seeing how you know my old friend, I suppose you have the right to call me Magnificus."
