Whiteout wakes up with a gasp, hard and sharp. She puts her talons to her head. What was that? she wonders. Her dreams were fine until everything suddenly went blue on her, and it was not a happy shade either. It was scared... like red, but less horrified. She shakes her head and goes outside to watch the sunset. She can't wait for school, and it's a feeling shared by Darkstalker and Leshy... except...
She goes back in, her curiosity getting the better of her as the feeling she's picking up on still persists. She sees Darkstalker, curled up, the same, deep blue that interrupted her dreams is completely flooding his mind. She nudges him. The sobbing stops and Darkstalker looks at her, his dark eyes looking as if like water. Unlike the other two, Whiteout's ability to read minds is surprisingly weak despite the night she hatched. She can pick up colors with ease, from wide swathes to tiny strokes. Words, however... Whiteout doesn't think in words; therefore, she can't actually read minds like they're scrolls the way her brother and friend can. However, whatever Darkstalker saw must've been really bad if it spooked him enough to burst into tears even though the two of them had spent their lives witnessing countless arguments.
She spends the time until Foeslayer wakes up (Arctic is, strangely, nowhere around) comforting Darkstalker enough for him to tell her what he saw. All Whiteout can do as he explains is blink. She knows it'll still be several years more until the hourglass turns. However, the imagery he described it with... it's no wonder why he needs help calming down.
It isn't until she mentions Clearsight that her brother calms down. Whiteout knows him all too well by this point, but what he actually says worries her. "Maybe Clearsight will know how to stop me." He's way too focused on his dream. This isn't the Darkstalker she knows. The two siblings grab breakfast and head outside to meet up with Foeslayer and wait on Leshy.
Foeslayer rolls her eyes at Whiteout and her rattlesnake, though Whiteout can't see anything wrong happening in her future just because of her eating it outside, so she just ignores it. Leshy stops by and he and Whiteout immediately hug. Whiteout can tell without even needing to read her mind that Foeslayer's trying her hardest to not get auburn with her for slowing them down.

The four dragons land just north of the palace, where the school lies. The palace, library, school, and museum. Four sides, four sections of a diamond shape... the Great Diamond. And now, with Foeslayer taking off, the three hybrids are at one of the three sides of the landmark, the one that looks almost like a smaller version of the massive, mountain-surrounding palace. While there are some NightWings flapping around near the museum and library, the palace and school are so full of them that the trio aren't able to plan their route in and are forced to just flee into the nearest entrance.
On the pedestal is an ebony statue of the strangest-looking NightWing Whiteout has ever seen, and that's even considering Leshy, as well as her own moonlit reflection. She can't quite put her talons on it though and she, Darkstalker, and Leshy split to find where they need to go. All three of them will probably meet up again, following their futures, wherever it is they need to be.
Whiteout wanders the corridors, careful to not accidentally go outside. If she does, she knows that she'll go back in looking like she was beaten up and then Darkstalker would be as angry as a fire, if she even makes it back in at all and doesn't get hopelessly lost. She hears waterfalls and remembers her mother's words that the longest of them leads to the main office on the highest pavilion. She goes to it and is now starting to see a future where she makes it to where she needs to go. She adjusts her course and starts picking up speed.
She makes it there and bumps into Darkstalker headfirst, both of them having made it here at the same time. Leshy is waiting by the door, having made it here first with the combination of his ability to see the future and his amazing sense of direction. The door opens and a dragon walks out. Darkstalker looks at them hopefully only to be crestfallen when it turns out to not be Clearsight. She must've already been in and out. Whiteout, now with that realization, can't help but hate herself for slowing them down.
