The Road Ahead

Chapter 8

Hope fell off the couch at the sound of the blonde's voice and stood up quickly pulling her pants back up.

Hope looked over at Josie who she saw had already put her shorts back on.

Hope could hear her heartbeat in her ears she had never been more scared in her life and she had just found out she was going to be a mother to twins! so that's telling you something.

Lizzie looked between the two disbelief written all over her face.

They all stood there in silence and it was killing Hope she wanted to know what Lizzie was thinking but her face remained emotionless which unsettled Hope she knew that meant nothing good.

The suddenly Lizzie snapped back into reality.

"WHAT THE FUCK" Lizzie said as she started hitting Hope with her purse.

Yeah that's kind of the reaction she was expecting.

"I TOLD YOU" Smack.

"TO STAY AWAY!" Smack.

"FROM HER!" Lizzie screamed hitting Hope in the eye with the metal part of her bag causing the auburn to wince.

Hope just stood there taking it thinking she deserved this after all she did.

"Lizzie stop it!" Josie stood up and got in between them.

"You dirty fucking mut!" Lizzie said sidestepping Josie and walking up to Hope pushing the auburn unnecessarily hard causing the girl's back to hit the wall.

"What the fuck were you thinking!" she hit Hope on the shoulder repeatedly.

"Lizzie please stop please" Josie begged, snapping Lizzie out of her anger.

"When did this start???" Lizzie asked looking at her with a look of betrayal

Josie played with her hands and looked down "two months ago."

"Two months ago..." Lizzie stood there for a second suddenly coming to a realization "that would mean..."

Josie refused to look at her sister so she kept her gaze on a wall just behind her sister.

Lizzie looked over to Hope with a look that could kill "you didn't..."

"Lizzie-" Hope started.

"TELL ME WHAT I'M THINKING ISN'T TRUE HOPE ANDREA MIKAELSON!" Lizzie yelled.

"Lizzie.... I..." Hope said not being able to find the right words.

"YOU JUST COULDN'T KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS COULD YOU?! YOU HAD TO GO DO THIS!" 

"It's not like we planned it!" Hope defended herself.

"This is the exact reason I didn't want you to go after her! you are a womanizer Hope! I didn't want her to be just another one of your hookups!"

"That's not... she's not-" Hope stammered.

"You are going to stay away from her" Lizzie said grabbing Josie by the hand who just let her.

"That isn't your choice to make we are having babies together."

"If I see you at our apartment Hope Mikaelson I swear to you I will cut your dick off" Lizzie pointed a finger at her before she and Josie walked out of the apartment.

Hope let out a sigh and looked at her reflection seeing her eye was already starting to form a bruise under it.

"Fuck..." Hope said sitting on the couch thinking about how bad she just fucked up.

When they walked into their apartment after a long silent car Josie decides to break the silence.

"Please talk to me" Josie sighed.

Lizzie walked over to the fridge and took out some food shaking her head.

"Lizzie, please."

"I just don't understand how you could be so irresponsible!" Lizzie said snapping suddenly.

Josie had to take a step back after hearing the tone of her sister's voice.

"I warned you about her Josette and now look where you ended up."

"I am an adult," Josie said calmly "I get you're mad and you have a right to be but do not talk to me that way," she said before going to her room and slamming the door.

Lizzie sighed before following her into the room "I'm just... mad okay? that you didn't tell me... didn't... trust me? I know I said she had to stay away but if you truly wanted to be with her you should've told me that's why I'm so mad at you."

"Hope on the other hand I am going to kill if I see again I mean come on she got you pregnant."

"We aren't together it was just a hookup..." Josie crossed her arms and looked down "and again we didn't plan it so you need to find a way to tolerate Hope because she's going to be around Lizzie whether you like it or not."

Lizzie stood there for a minute before she silently nodded "I'm going to make lunch" she cleared her throat and walked out

Josie watched her sister's retreating figure and let out a frustrated sigh once Lizzie was out of eyesight.

As Josie pulled the covers over her body she felt her phone start to ring.

When she grabbed it she saw the auburn's contact name pop up and she immediately answered.

"Hey," Josie said.



"Hey... so I just wanted to check up on you and make sure everything is okay?" Hope said.

"Not really, she's still really mad at me for not telling her and not trusting her."

"Why would you tell her she made it clear how she felt about me and you hooking up you were just scared."

"I know but she's right I should've trusted her enough to tell her."

"I'm so sorry for everything Jo..."

"Please stop apologizing none of this is your fault we both knew Lizzie was bound to react like this it's not surprising."

"I don't know how I can make amends with her I did the one thing she asked me not to do and I knocked her sister up in the process I'm such a shitty person."

"Come over tomorrow and talk to her."

"Yeah and risk her cutting my dick off! no way" Hope shook her head.

"I promise you I will make sure that doesn't happen... just bring over some of her favorite food and candy and talk okay?"

Hope stays silent for a moment "fine but I'm doing this for you"
