Uh-oh.......
Gēge=Big Brother
Bàba=Dad
"Concentrate, MK," Macaque called out with a humm, from where he and Ming sat with some of the mountain monkeys, the group watching as MK and Monkey King trained in front of the Silver Cloud Temple on Flower Fruit Mountain. "Don't forget, now that you have a tail, your center of gravity is much different, so your natural balance will be off."
"Gotcha' Dad!~" The teen chirped, using the shadows casted by the sunset, to escape another blow from Wukong.
"Wukong! Don't overdo it!" The tanned king snapped, tail flicking in irritation, at the sight of the crater his husband's attack left behind. "MK isn't immortal, blows like that could kill him!"
"Sorry Plums!~" The golden king called out, lunging at his son as the male climbed out of a shadow, who gave a squeak of fear at the sight of his charging father.
New Years was upon the family, who all were very excited to celebrate together this year, Macaque having made quite the feast. It was unfortunate that none of the Generals could show up, all having been otherwise caught up, sending their regards and congratulations to the kings over the newest addition of the family.
"You can do it Gēge!" Ming shouted happily, jumping up from where she was sitting, the smaller monkeys following her lead, and also letting out shouts of encouragement for the young prince.
"Why is it, that whenever we're training, none of you ever cheer for me?" Monkey King's tone was playful, showing that he felt no real hurt at the other's blatant favoritism, during training.
"Because unlike you, MK lacks the obvious advantages of being immortal, Peaches," The Lantern user rolled his eyes, a teasing undertone lining his voice, black furred tail swaying.
The teen uses his staff to block another blow by Wukong's foot, the bright eyed king balancing perfectly on the overweight stick with a smirk, launching himself backwards and onto the ground, dodging blows from his cub in some sort of deadly dance. MK actually managed to corner his golden furred father on the edge of the cliff, the teen giving a confident shout, and bringing the staff down to hit the other....who easily launched the boy back into the mountainside.
"Sun Wukong, what did I say about overdoing it?!" A shout from his dual eyed husband, made the Monkey King wince, sucking in a sharp breath.
Rushing over to see if the newly teen turned monkey was alright, Wukong stood over MK with a nervous look, "You okay bud?"
MK's eyes opened to show that familiar excited sparkled, in what was once normal brown eyes, that had developed a golden shine to them, the teen shooting up happily, tail wagging.
"That was awesome!~" The younger monkey cheered, tackling his father into a hug. "I almost had you that time, did you see it?!"
"You sure did!" The retired hero chuckled, ruffing his kid's hair, much to said boy's chagrin. "You're a natural born monkey!~"
"Gēēēgeeee!~" The chipper voice of a certain cub sounded behind the two, right before Ming collided with her brother's legs, and began climbing him like a tree. "You were so cool! Wasn't he cool papa?!~"
"Very impressive," Macaque trilled, as he set out a blanket near the cliffside, followed up by the massive amount of food he'd made earlier. At the sight and scent of the feast, three stomachs rumbled, electing laughter as they made their way over.
Plates of food were handed out, some with more on it than others, as the family settled down to watch the New Year's fireworks, Ming squealing in delight.
