Chapter 33: Puzzles and mind games
Song: Touch it by busta rhymes

Y/n POV
William pulled me on to his lap, while our lips stayed connected. I felt him lick my lips, asking for permission but I kept them shut, teasing him. William hands searched my body, sliding all the way down to my ass.

He grabbed my ass roughly, causing for a small moan to escape my mouth. William's tongue crept into my mouth, exploring. I couldn't help but feel weak with every bit of his touch.

It was almost like he took over my body. A puppet and his strings.

I felt William slide his hands, creeping underneath my shirt. His touch made my back shiver. The menacing brunette slowly found his way towards the back of my bra.

Suddenly, a loud knock could be heard on the window. "Fuck" I hear William curse angrily. I leap out of his lap, back to my original seat before our 'encounter'.

William opened the window to his car, a familiar man appeared on the other side. My eyes opened wide and my jaw fell to the ground. Connor!

"Sorry lad, your not meant to be parked here" Connor began to instruct William. Connors eyes moved towards me and they lit up when he noticed that I was sitting there.

"Detective y/n! What are you doing here" he stuttered as his face grew red. I bit my tongue in embarrassment trying to come up with an excuse. "I'm still on my mission, this gentleman here is assigned to help me" I quickly spoke.

Connor looked towards William, glaring at him. William didn't leave a second behind, a smirk spread on his face. "Detective William Afton, pleasure to meet you".

Connor looked confused but yet annoyed at Williams presence. He reached his hand out and shook William's. Now, William had a firm grip and you could hear Connor struggling at the pressure in the handshake.

"Connor" Connor muttered back, quietly. He grabbed his hand back and held on to it after William let go.

"I should be heading anyways, come down to the office as soon as possible, I miss you Y/n" Connor cleared his throat, before making his way back to his vehicle.

I watched him from afar as he made his way towards the cop car. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth as I watched Connor drive away. Close one. William began chuckling to himself.

I glance at him, with slight suspicion. "That's the guy at your office, isn't it darling" William grinned, looking towards me. I wanted to face palm myself, after realising what I had just done.

"Don't you dare, William" I fight back.

"Ah well he should get the hint from the way you were on top of me only a few seconds ago, don't you say detective y/n" William proceeded to tease me.

I playfully push him. "Won't happen again" I mutter. William stroked a piece of hair behind my ear, looking at me with his full concentration. "Oh but it will and you will beg for it" he pointed out.

I bite my lip nervously, looking at the man beside me. Not only did I protect him, I let myself get into this sick mind game again. If I get caught my badge and future will be gone. William turns around and starts the car, pulling out of the drive way.

"Where are we going?" I asked, curiously. "Well I don't want a bloody ticket, besides we need somewhere to stay eventually" William explained, while he motioned his hands.

——————————————————————-

"One room, please" William politely asks. A lady, particularly in her mid 60's eyed William and I suspiciously. With a sigh, she ducks down and grabs an old shabby key, with a torn tag that wrote '3' on it.

"No noise and if use are messing around clean up after yourselves" she huffed, shoving the key into Williams hands. William gives her a passive aggressive glare. "That's the plan" he grinned.

The brunette grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the reception room. We walked down the lines of doors before finally finding the room with number '3' on it.

With a click, the key fit like a glove inside the keyhole, which opened the door. The room reeked of chlorine, like a swimming pool. This didn't seem to bother William, who walked inside and chucked his jacket on to the bed.

I study the room and spot only one bed. Couldn't he have been more specific. "Hey, you could of asked for a room with two beds" I argue with the tired man. William rolls his eyes and jumps on the bed, a small creek followed from the bed.

"I paid, stop complaining" he fought back. William began to pat the spot beside him on the bed. "Come here" he demanded. I hesitated before making my way towards him.

Awkwardly sitting beside him, William watches me without taking a second to look away. "What are you looking at" I spat at him, flustered.

"Your just pretty, you have grown to be even more prettier than those four god damn years I spent with you" he spoke slowly.

My cheeks turned a shade of red at his comment. "Your good with your words, very flattering" I sarcastically responded. He chuckled attractively. "Bet Connor couldn't even spit out those words" he pointed out.

"Oh so this is a competition, thanks a lot William" I shove him. William pushes me back on the bed, pinning both of my wrist to the side. "Not a competition but the truth, your majesty" he grinned at his comment.

I shake my head and giggle. I couldn't help but admire how happy he looked. It was sad that soon this may all come to an end. "What's your deal with your parents?" I asked him, curiously.

William tenses up. "I don't know what you mean" he mumbles. "You just seemed not to be in a good relationship with your father" I mentioned. William sighs, playing with a strand of my hair.

"He was just really harsh, a perfectionist. Whenever I use to do the stupidest shit, like spill the water it would anger him. He use to hit me a lot and even sometimes my mother. He wanted me to become a lawyer, I wanted to create magic. I left when I was 18 and ran to start my own business with Henry, who I met in college" William explained, awkwardly.

My eyes widen at how similar this situation was compared to my father. I didn't dare utter a word about him though, William already knew too much. I couldn't help feel the tears swell up in my eyes.

"Have you heard about Henry?" I asked, sadly. William stops in his tracks and hitches air in. "I was a suspect to the crimes of the missing children. When the situation was happening it was too much for Henry to handle and sooner than expected he couldn't deal with it anymore" William muttered.

We remained in silence, gazing into each other's eyes. "You do know we can't run away forever" I whispered. Williams gaze turned into a stubborn frown.

"But we can Y/n, why don't we get out of here? Haven't we suffered too much" William stands up, pointing his finger at me. I sit up and study the frustrated person before me.

He was right, we both have suffered so much. But why are we back here at the start. I made a deal to avenge my brother and to help my people. I wasn't going to let a manipulator win.

"William you know why, this isn't the way things were before" I shot back at him. Afton begins to go red in the face with anger. He was like a spoilt child that couldn't get what he wants.

"William, where are the bodies" I asked, patiently. William licks his lips and grins at me.

"Oh y/n, that's where your little clever mind needs to start thinking. They are everywhere, all around us" he grins, before walking into the bathroom and slamming the door shut.

I was left with the silence of the rotten motel room, in my own thoughts. If I wanted to win, I needed to play into the devils game.

Hey guys! Things are about to get a lot interesting dw :)
