At lunch, Lumi sat with her friends. Katie, who normally sat with them, was sitting at a table by herself.

"Ms. Johnson is super suspicious," Lumi told her friends.

"Lumi, how many times have we gone over this? Ms. Johnson is normal. You're the one acting weird," Blaze said.

"Really?" Lumi described what her and Ms. Johnson had talked about in the hall. "See? Isn't that weird?"

"I think you probably took it the wrong way, because you think that something's up with Ms. Johnson," Blaze decided.

Lumi slammed her head against the table multiple times. "Is there nothing I can get you to do to believe me?" she asked, when she felt too dizzy to continue.

"Listen," Amber said. "I don't have Ms. Johnson's class, because unlike you, Blaze, and Bylur, I'm not smart enough to be in the advanced classes." When Lumi opened her mouth to protest, Amber covered it. "I know I'm stupid, don't lie to me. The point is, I don't have Ms. Johnson, but I have seen her around school. She seems nice."

Lillian nodded. "I agree."

The twins followed suit. "Definitely," James said while Jake nodded.

Bylur frowned. "According to my background check, Ms. Johnson has no criminal record. She volunteers at an animal shelter on weekends for no pay, she also volunteers at hospitals over the summer to help cheer up children with cancer."

"See?" Blaze smiled. "What villian would do that?"

"I already told you! The person said that they weren't Ms. Johnson, and that they were just impersonating her!" Lumi snapped.

"Listen Lumi, I'm not saying that I don't believe you . . . but how would they look exactly like Ms. Johnson if they weren't Ms. Johnson?" Amber asked quietly, fidgeting with the pink bracelet on her wrist. It was something she always did when she was nervous or guilty.

Lumi stood up. "I need to get some fresh air." She ran out of the cafeteria, to the courtyard. Nobody was outside today, since it was raining, but Lumi didn't mind the rain.

Lumi took a deep breath. She felt hands on her shoulders and she spun around, ready to fight someone. However, it was just Amber.

"What do you want?" Lumi asked, bitterness seeping into her voice.

"Are you okay?" Amber asked. "This whole thing with Ms. Johnson . . . just makes me so nervous."

Lumi immediately noticed that Amber wasn't fidgeting with her bracelet. That was a dead giveaway that it wasn't her. Lumi pushed the fake Amber against the soaked walls of the school.

"You aren't Amber," Lumi realized.

The person laughed. "You really are smart." The person grabbed Lumi's shoulders and flipped her so that Lumi was pushed against the wall, her back facing the person. "Too bad that you chose the wrong side."

"What the fuck does that mean?!" Lumi yelled.

Lumi felt a pain in her back as the person shoved a fucking knife into it. Tears mixed with the rain as Lumi last bit of consciousness slipped away.
