Chapter 7: Bruise

After a while Scott and Lydia are fast asleep but me not so much. I sit up and as my eyes feel like closing, they just don't. 

I look at Scott as I slowly stand up to go downstairs to splash some water on my face not wanting to wake them up using my bathroom sink and as I walk up to the sink I hear "Let's play a game." I roll my eyes ignoring him as I turn the water on, and I cup my hands together splashing my face with the cold water. 

After I grab a paper towel to dry my face and as I turn to grab a cup I'm met with Void. He looks very mad, and I'm proven correct as I'm shoved back. 

I fall from the counter to the other side of the kitchen where my dad and me eat. He comes around and grabs my throat. 

I reach up to try to prevent him from killing me but that just makes it worse, and I start to see stars. He gets in my face and warns "If you ignore me again, you'll be seeing mommy sooner than expected, Got it." 

I nod and he immediately disappears in a puff of smoke as I look to see Scott. Scott comes over to me and says, "Stiles you okay, I heard weird noises?" 

I nod trying not to reach up to rub my throat when he squints his eyes at me weirding me out a bit, so I ask "What?! Why are you looking at me like that?" 

He lifts his hand to my sweatshirt collar and moves it down. He looks from my throat and looks up to me with horror in his eyes as I slap his hand away, I say, "I asked what?" 

He looks at me and says, "What happened, who hurt you?" I squint my eyes as my eyes widen, I run to my bathroom, and I take my sweatshirt off not really caring if I'm seen without a shirt as my attention is brought to the marks on my neck. 

I can feel my fear swell inside me as I look at my neck and I start going back and forth on whether he is real, but these marks make me lean more on he is real but then I remember he's trapped in the triskelion. I hear Scott and see him in the mirror, and I look at Scott thinking hard on telling him or not but just then Lydia comes in and she gasps upon seeing my bruised neck. See reaches her hand to it but doesn't make contact as I close my eyes feeling I have no choice but to tell them, so I say, "I might have left out something." 

They look to each other before looking back at me and I continue "I've been seeing the Nogitsune, when he looked like me. So, I see the Nogitsune verion of me that you technically killed every so often and most of the time no one is around. 

I'm always alone when he shows up or I'm asleep and he messes with me. He made me think dad fell asleep while driving us home, but really, I fell asleep, and my dad left me in the car to rest. 

So yeah, and every time he chokes me or hurts me, almost always choking me. Then when someone comes in, he disappears and so I'll never know whether or not I'm hurting me and just think it's him or if he is actually hurting me." 

They're speechless and I don't blame them but as I look at them in the background Void is smirking sitting on my desk chair. I go past them and go up to him but again he disappears. 

I'm starting to get really fed up with him and I start yelling at him not caring if I wake my dad or that Scott and Lydia are right here "Void!! Show yourself, you coward!!! 

If your even real. I don't think your even here so stop messing with me! Prove it and show yourself to Scott and Lydia!!! 

Come on now, you scared? You're a coward!!! 

Hear me A COWARD and Giant fake, YOUR NOT REAL, YOUR NOTHING BUT A FIGMENT OF A MEMORY!!!!!!" I look around then to Scott and Lydia still seething as they're faces change, so I turn to see . . . . . . . . . . . .
