𝟔. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐃𝐨 𝐈𝐭?
Hours had passed since Thor told her those words and they couldn't her mind off of it as hard as she wants to. Every time she would steal a glance at the thunder god, the words quickly made their way back to her mind as quickly as she had forgotten them. Could he be right?
Sòl groaned loudly that everyone around her had heard. They quickly looked away when she shot them a glare. She walked, heading to a part of the dungeon where there are barely any people. But she suddenly stopped in her tracks, eyes widening at the sight of the God of Thunder knelt on both of his knees, facing the wall and praying intently.
He paused and lifted his head, meeting her eyes before they held each other's gazes.
"Don't mind me," Sól said, lifting her hands before turning around.
"Wait," Thor said, standing up as he let out a deep breath. When Sòl turned and their eyes met once again, the words in his mouth seemed to have vanished. "S-Stay."
"You..." Sól shot her a puzzled look like she couldn't believe what she had heard. "You want me to stay?"
"That's..." Thor directed his gaze down, blood creeping up to his cheeks, making them warm. "That's right."
Thor lifted his head, seeing the confused look on Sól's face as he waited for her response. He was surprised when Sól stayed behind as he had said, sitting on the space a few feet away from him. Thor now wondered what to do or say next, knowing in a short time that they were together, anything he does could tick her off. But as he observed her, she seemed to be calm and not in any way mad at him.
It was a rare sight for the God of Thunder.
"How are you holding up?" she asked, breaking the silence between them. It was then Thor snapped out of his reverie and realized that he was staring far longer than he was supposed to.
"Preparing." Thor replied, "You?"
"Tired." Sól answered back, "I want to get out of this place. It's driving me insane."
Thor chuckled, causing Sòl to turn her head in his direction, "I know. The loop thing."
"And that Kronan. He's a great guy but he just goes on and on about this or that, you know?" Sól chuckled softly, leaning her back against the wall and staring at the ceiling with a soft smile. Thor did the same, except he was looking straight at the wall across them, pondering on what to say next. He wanted to keep up the conversation, not wanting to bring back the awkward tension between them and the fact that he accidentally told her to stay for no reason.
