I am a strong person.
I always have been.
That's what my mother always told me. And my brother.
They believed it.
Of course I did too.But I know it's true.
I've been mentally challenged. I got through it.
Physically... got through that too. This mission? Shouldn't be too bad. Nothing I can't handle on my own. Surely not worth waiting for backup to arrive.
I sat on my vantage point on the rooftop of a building, opposite another building which I planned to infiltrate.
I could see the couple dozens of people in there across the different floors. But I ignored them as I focused on the location of the package.
It was only small. Collect all the network data on a USB, then leave. Don't engage unless spotted.
I do this kind of thing all the time. It would be fine.
I shot an arrow attached to a wire, forming a zip line between the buildings so I could get across.
I had to crash through a window, but who doesn't love a dramatic entrance.
I jumped up and slid down the zip line, and hit the window feet first.
Two men in the room. Perfect.
"Sorry for dropping in" I smirked, then pulled the pistol from my holster and shot them both clean in the head.
There were computers in the next room so I made my way there.
Killed victims three, four and five on my way in.
Started downloading the data.
Six.
50% done.
Seven. Eight. Nine.
I looked back at the computer as my foot pressed down on the back of number ten. 98%.
I stamped on their neck and walked over to the computer just as it finished. I pulled the USB from the port and carefully tucked it away in my bra for safekeeping.
I heard footsteps, so I turned just as eleven and twelve walked in the room. Shot them both too.
Now I just had to get out of here.
Leaving the way I came was a possibility... except that I had left my bow on the opposite rooftop.
I decided I needed to go down a couple floors, then I could just jump out a window.
I bent over the bodies that carpeted the floor of the room I was in, and stole two of their guns because they were more fully loaded than mine.
Then I made my way out.Thirteen and fourteen I came across in the stairwell.
Ran through a door and took out number fifteen.
I was on the first floor now, so I just needed to find a window I could escape from.
Sixteen. Seventeen. Then I found one. It was down the end of the hallway. I started running, but instantly stopped as a door next to the window swung open.
I could've easily taken a shot. Killed number eighteen. But the agent was not alone; five more filed out the room behind him. All armed. Pointed straight at me. They'd shoot me dead before I could touch the trigger.
"Maybe we could come to some sort of agreement?" I laughed nervously.
Nope.
I heard footsteps behind me. I saw the shadow cover mine. I felt the sharp pain of something hitting the back of my head. Then nothing.
