Y/n is a girl that lived in Toronto her whole Life with her parents Mrs and Mr Lee. She doesn't get out much until her mom forces her to go pick up some groceries. Y/n's mother never really cared about her as much as Mei mei Y/n's little sister.
I woke up with my hair in my face and my alarm blaring, i got up and went into my bathroom to do my morning routine. I got out of the shower and did my thing, in the middle of everything i got a text.

Devon knows where i live because the day we met he walked me home. Devon seemed very sketchy at first but once i got to know him he was really sweet. I finished my routine and got dressed

I got dressed and left my room but as i went to lock my door i saw Mei Mei dancing in the living room "What in the sam hell is goin-" i start but get cut off by mom calling Mei over. I brush it off and go to grab breakfast and my headphones as i head to the table to eat my baozi. I checked the time *Damn 7:23 already?* i finished my food and heard a knock at the door "Ill get it" i say as i get up and go to open the door "Hey dev" i say and smile at him "Hey Y/n" he says and faintly smiles back "Let me just grab my things and we can go, for now you can go sit on the couch" i say and go to grab my bag and other item's. Mom walks up to me and looks annoyed "Y/n why is this man in our house?" She asked "Well mother, he is a friend if you have a problem call my lawyer" i say mockingly, I grab Devons hand and walk out the door closing it "What was that about?" Devon asked "Thats just my mom" i say and then shrug. I noticed that me and Devon were still holding hands so I decided to swing our arms, i guess he was caught off guard and forgot that we were still holding hands because once he noticed it his face started to turn a dark shade of pink. We arrived at school and started to talk about god knows what until class started.

I was walking out of class looking for Devon and met him at his locker, "Sup Teacup" i said "The sky" he replies and closes his locker "Where ya headed?" I ask "Work how about you?"he asked and we started to leave campus "The temple but ill walk to work with you to grab a candy bar or something" i say and grab my phone out "Sounds great i'll give you a discount" he says and puts his hat on my head "Thanks Devon" i reply and take a photo of us he sighs and says "Call me Dev" "Awww really" i ask "Why not you already do it so much i guess it grew onto me" he said and i laughed. We walked to the ❀daisy mart❀ and headed inside, i went to the candy aisle and grabbed my favorite candy bar and walked to the checkout, "That all for you?" Devon asked "Yup" i reply "Here you go and two coupon's" he says as he hands me the coupons and does his little faint smile "Thank you" i say as i tip him and grab my things "YOU CANT TIP ME IM PAYING YOU BACK" i hear Devon yell as i walk out of the store but i turn to see Mei and her friends staring at Devon through the window "Um...what are you doing?" I say and the 4 girls turn to face me "Oh hey sis" Mei says nervously "Hey Y/n" the rest of the younglings say and wave "wait are you friends with Devon?" Miriam asks "Yeah why, do you girls have a crush on him or something?" I ask sarcastically only to hear no response "Wait really?" I ask shocked "You guys have VERY low standards" i say and turn to walk away but hear a voice from behind me "Oh come on Y/n it's obvious you like him" Mei says "WHAT!" I scream "Oh come on he walks you to school, you went on a date to the movies, you guys hold hand's, you wear his hat, you guys are practically perfect for each other" Mei says "Hush child" i say as i walk away and eat my candy.

I just finished temple duty's and cleaned up and headed back into the house but as i entered mom exited the house, pulling me and Mei by the arm with her into the car, "What in the fuck?" I ask confused "Mom no, please, its just a drawing" Meilin says "Huh" i ask "Some perv is doing things to Mei Mei" mom says "WHAT?" I ask "NO ITS NOT TRUE ITS JUST DRAWINGS" Mei says "Of who?" I question concernedly "Devon" she says about to cry "WHAT" i scream and laugh. We arrived at the daisy mart "Come on Mei Mei" mom demands and than looks at me signaling me to go to "Oh hell naw" i say and shake my head no "COME HERE NOW" mom yells " oh my lord fine" i say and leave the back seat. Mom stomps inside the store while i stand next to the girl in the pink hijab as mom starts yelling at Devon while i just play on my game boi, mom starts to leave and i turn to Devon and he looks so confused and stressed, i look at him and shrug "Ill come back in like 15mins to work this out" i mouth to him and he nods in response and looks at the weird ass drawings.
