The Good Bye

I was wide awake when my alarm went off to go to the office in the morning. I had only gotten maybe a half hour sleep. I was in such shock at what I had seen with Wes and Carly. I couldn't believe that he would give up on us that quickly, but in the same sense at least now I knew that we were finally over. As much as it would take me awhile to forget about him it was for the best that we were done. There was a knock on my door.

"Come in," I said

"Umm, hi," I was expecting Keaton, Drew, Chloe, anyone but who stood in the doorway, I was even expecting it to be Wes but no, there stood Brianna.

"Wh, what are you doing here?" I questioned.

"Wes sent me, he knew you wouldn't talk to him so he asked that I come and try to explain what exactly you had seen last night."

"What is there to explain? I opened the door and he was making out with Carly. Last time I went to the optometrist I had 20/20 vision so I know I wasn't seeing things."

Brianna chuckled, "I like you, you definitely have some spunk to you. Yes, you did see something like that, but according to what I am being told Carly was the one who was kissing Wes and Wes was trying to pull away when you opened the door. Keanna, you have to understand Carly and Wes' past.."

I stopped her mid sentence, "you know what Brianna, I don't even care anymore. It just seems like way too much effort between Wes and I."

"But are you willing to give up your career over this Keanna? Without knowing the truth, maybe the truth will make you feel differently." Just as she said it Drew and Chloe walked in the room and sat on the day bed.

"Is it true Kea?" Chloe asked, "Are you really moving home?"

I looked at her knowing that my decision would effect her too but I had no choice at this time, I couldn't stay, "Yeah I am. I already booked a flight." I said and put my head down.

"Woah, just let Brianna tell you what happened." Drew said.

"Okay, Brianna, go ahead." I gestured for her to come sit on the bed.

"Well, for as long as I can remember Wes and Carly have had this thing. It is kind of like a high school crush. They both like each other but haven't actually officially made themselves a couple. Wes has tried to get Carly to go out with him since he was 16."

"Is this suppose to make me feel better?" I interrupted.

Brianna laughed, "It will I promise. Anyways, he has asked her out repeatedly and everytime she comes up with another excuse as to why they shouldn't make themselves official, that was until nine months ago when he met you. Since then he has stopped "macking" I guess you could call it on Carly and everything was about you. Lastnight was just a slip in judgement. He invited her to come with Kyle because he thought that he would need to move on because you two can't be together. Once he got here and noticed that Blake guy flirting with you he knew that there would be nothing happen with Carly because all he could think about was you. When they went outside it was Carly who made the moves, Wes told her no and she kissed him. He tried to pull away but she had her hands locked behind his head and he couldn't get her pulled off of him, and that is when you opened the door."

"Is that all?" I asked.

"See, it's not what it looked!" Chloe interrupted.

"I don't care Chloe, I have to leave. I can't stay. Even if it is to get away until Jarett opens the new recording label." I placed my hand over my mouth. "This stays between us!" I looked from Brianna to Drew.

"What are you talking about new label?" Drew asked.

"That is why I got to keep my job and stay with you," Chloe answered, "Jarett is starting a new label in a couple months, you guys were going to be moved to that company because Jarett put something in the contract that if Keanna left MDC Records, you guys would be moved too. Keanna was taking the assistant managers job, I was going with him as the Business Administrator and Amber was going to be the AL."
