CHAPTER 15

"papa can i get this one?" theo held up a toy.

fez looked down at the little boy who had pulled puppy dog eyes. "uhh you gotta ask your mom first but if she says yea sure."

"okay." theo grabbed fez's hand giving him the toy since he couldn't reach the cart.

"let's go find your mom okay?" theo nodded holding his arms up wanting to be picked up instead.

fez pushed the cart around after placing theo inside.

"you want some candy or somethin?"

theo nodded rapidly. "please." fez let him out of the cart once again.

"yea, yea okay. i'll buy some don't worry about it. let's go we really gotta find your mom though."

he hadn't noticed the person watching the interaction. someone who seemed to watch every interaction.

"oh sorry." fez looked up seeing a girl hunched over picking up her dropped items.

"nah you good."

"i'm just so clumsy today." she said laughing lightly.

"hmm. you need help with that?" he looked at the other things she had dropped. "i can get you a cart or somethin."

"no it's okay i'm here with my dad he has the cart."

"papá." theo pulled on fez's arm not liking how long he was speaking with the girl. "mama's right there we have to go!" he pointed to a random way wanting to get away from the girl.

"i thought you wanted some candy?" theo shook his head.

"no candy is okay."

the woman looked down at theo with a smile and a longing glance almost like she knew him.

"are you-" she started to speak again when theo interrupted her.

"mama!" theo pulled on fez while fez grabbed the cart heading to andrea blocking andrea's view on the girl.

"they had no tomato sauce baby, we might have to go to another store." andrea started as she picked up theo. "but did you guys get what you needed?"

"yea ma. we can check out if you want." andrea nodded turning around.

"i can put him in the cart if you want?"

"it's okay." she replied smiling.

fez put a hand on the small of her back which caused her to blush lightly.

the three walked down the aisle with carefree faces not bothering on those around them.

what they didn't know was how much of an impact that woman in the store would be on their lives only time would tell before everything came crashing.

"mama she was so ugly and and she was staring at papá for too long." theo had been ranting about the woman they had seen at the store.

theo bullied people a lot with her. it made her day.

something that came in mind is when she accidentally bumped into someone and the lady she had bumped into started to curse her out when theo stated something along the lines of.

theo pulled at andreas sleeve while the lady continued to curse at her for simply bumping into her. "Mamá, mira, es un payaso."

("mama look it's a clown.") andrea looked down to him laughing to herself but gave him a scolding look slightly smiling.

the lady continued to curse them while andrew said a simple sorry and left.

theo had made her day. well he got ice cream out of it so.

"mama she had a big mouth too!"

"theo." she warned.

"sorry mama." he whispered climbing into her lap he didn't want her to be mad at him.

"you wanna take a nap?" she asked bringing a hand to brush a hand through his hair. theo nodded after he had noticed fez watching the interaction wanting the to talk he placed his head in her neck.

simple short and sweet. a great way to start off chaos.
