CHAPTER 5

before she knew it a week had passed and she hadn't spoken or seen fezco. she didn't know how to approach the deal, she would figure it out but for now she had nothing.

obviously she could call him but she found it unprofessional. she could feel and see emotions when she was present talking with the person. and when you made a deal those the most important.

"mama." she looked to the side of her. theo had entered the living room.

"hi baby."

"no work today?" he asked settling himself on her knees. she picked him up placing him on her lap.

"a little work today."

"i come?"

"of course." she said cleaning the bottom of his lip which had yogurt on it. "come on let's go take a bath." theo's eyes widened.

"ducky?" a big smile appeared on his face. "if you didn't lose it."

the morning had gone by smoothly. filled with theo's crying on finding his deflated duck. realizing he had to bathe alone.

theo had a hard time whenever he lost something or something of his broke because he was afraid that she wouldn't be able to replace it. she went all out on holidays but if they were at the store and he had seen something he had really liked and the price was to much she would make sure to add to the list of things he wanted as gifts.

it was one of the ways she could save money.

andrea would hate it if she had spoiled him to much even if she had the ability to buy some nice things for him but she would hate if he had to fend for himself if something ever happened to her.

since her sister had left she had put aside a savings for theo. it would be used for whatever the hell he wanted to do in his future and since then  she would put around two hundred a month in the savings, when he turned 18 he would have more then enough.

anyways the two were on the way to fez's gas station.

"mama." she looked to the rear view mirror. his eyes were still red from crying. he was wiggling in his car seat trying to get out.

"theo we're almost there okay? stay still."

"mama off." he pulled at the seatbelt tided to the car seat keeping him there. "please mama."

she looked ahead and at the street they we're around three minutes from the gas station. without responding she continued to drive and pulled into a Mcdonald's drive thru.

"if you stay still i'll buy you a happy meal." she could bribe in situations like these.

he paused for a little thinking before responding with a little smile coming to his face. "ok mama."

after purchasing she gave him the little box. opening it for him. his car seat was in the middle so she had more access to him.

he wiggled a little in his seat.

"uh, no remember what you said?"

"i can't reach mama."

she removed one of the seatbelts which gave him more access to his upper body.

"let's get this show back on the road."

"castio what a surprise."

"is it really?"

"i'd knew you would be back sooner or later even considering you ignored my call." her eyebrows furrowed at the accusation.

"i didn't-"

"frez!" theo asked running past her hugging his legs.

"hey little man." he looked equally excited to see him.

interesting. andrea thought.

"what you need castio?"

"roll ups!"

"definitely do not need anymore fruit roll ups theo. i wanted to talk about our deal and conversations like those do not go on over the phone."

"so that's why you ain't answer my call?"

"what are you even- you know what, even though i have no idea what you're talking about or when we need to get this going. the pharmacy's been slow lately. so i need all the help i can get." she spoke while holding her arms out for theo. who shook his head and placed it in fez's neck.

"traitor." she whispered to herself.

"i thought you had it all figured out?"

"i do obviously, but we need a backup plan anything can go wrong. and i need to see your product to see  if i can actually sell it, well obviously i can but i still need to see it."

"we gotta do all that tomorrow ma if you really wanna get things up and running."

"i can do that."

"let's get this done then."
