Chapter Thirty-Three

***this chapter mentions suicide again, in the last section. nothing too graphic but i'll do a tl;dr again***

Louis

Harry's screaming wakes me quickly.

For a moment, I forget.

I think that a minute later, Callin will come in and ask us what's happening.

And when she doesn't, I remember where she is.

"Another nightmare?" I ask Harry.

He just stares blankly at me for a moment, and then he blinks and it's like he's come back to earth.

"I guess" he says slowly. "I don't remember it. Just being scared. And in pain."

"You're safe now" I say. "It's going to be alright."

"That's the thing" he says. "I don't know if any of us are safe yet."

And with that, he lays back down, and he's asleep I minutes.

Maybe it's just the nightmares, making him paranoid.

Maybe it's the accident, reminding us that even with nobody hunting us, we're not promised safety.

But the way he said it worries me.

He went through the worst.

What does he know that we don't?

But by the morning, I've forgotten the whole thing.

We're all back at the hospital in the morning.

Because where else would we spend all out spare time.

Zayn was moved to psych this morning, and they have really strict visiting hours so we can't go see him.

Instead, we all camp out in Robin's room.

Four boys and two girls in a room with a bed and one chair.

When Robin's doctor comes to check on her, he just laughs and brings us a few more chairs.

We all relax at least a little, and watch Monsters Inc., and it's almost fun.

This hospital doesn't really have a lot of fun memories for us, but here we are, making one.

It's a nice moment, for once.

"I think this is the most accurate university I've ever seen in a film" I say, and everyone laughs. It's nice to hear them laughing.

After Monsters Inc., we moved on the Monsters University.

And somewhere in the two hours I've been here, I've started to feel like part of the group.

Hanging out with Robin yesterday definitely helped, I guess, because I can talk to her now as well.

She's a good person.

I'd really like to be her friend.

And I think we are, now.

"Is uni really like that?" Niall asks me.

"Pretty much" I reply. "I think my record for most cups of coffee consumed is ten cups in one day. I pulled an all-nighter to study for an exam."
